Qualifications - Du bringst mehrjährige Erfahrung als Architekt beim Design und Betrieb einer komplexen Microservice-Architektur mit. - Idealerweise bringst du Erfahrung im Bereich DevOps mit. - Sehr gute Kenntnisse in den folgenden Technologien: Java, Kafka, REST, Angular oder anderen Frontendframeworks. - Du bist ein Teamplayer und eine kommunikative Persönlichkeit mit hoher Eigeninitiative, die sich gern technisch und methodisch weiterentwickelt. - Hochschul- oder Fachhochschulabschluss in Informatik oder vergleichbare Ausbildung sowie ausgewiesene Berufserfahrung. - Fliessende Deutschkenntnisse. What you’ll bring to the table: About You: We are looking for a Database Architect / Engineer to join a critical Infrastructure Remediation project. You will be tasked with untangling and modernising a complex SQL Server estate, ranging from legacy 2008 instances to modern cloud environments. This is a technical role focused on decommissioning technical debt, consolidating sprawl, and executing complex migrations. Responsibilities: - Analysis & Strategy: Perform deep-dive health checks, dependency mapping, and create tailored migration paths for "difficult" legacy apps. - Architecture Design: Contribute to the Target State Architecture, documenting on-prem and Azure-based solutions with a focus on security and scalability. - Performance Engineering: Identify and resolve bottlenecks during the migration phase to ensure stability on new platforms. - Collaboration: Work closely with application owners and third-party suppliers to minimise downtime during cutovers. Technical Requirements: - Expert SQL Server Knowledge: Proven experience managing and migrating SQL Server versions from 2008 through to 2022. - Azure Transition: Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, and cloud migration tools. - Remediation Specialist: A track record of successfully consolidating and managing decommissioning projects. - Advanced T-SQL: Scripting for data manipulation, cleanup, and schema optimisation. - DBA Fundamentals: Mastery of backups, high availability (Always On), security hardening, and index tuning. Azure Solution Architect – Job Description Overview & Responsibilities Location – Remote The Azure Solution Architect acts as a technical consultant and trusted advisor, responsible for gathering customer business requirements and translating them into secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure solution blueprints. The role has a strong focus on complex networking, Azure Landing Zones, large-scale migrations, governance, optimization, and licensing initiatives.
