This includes key technical input and advice to both customers and the industrial sales team predominantly but also municipal sales teams. The role covers application development, coaching, training and market, regulatory and competitor intelligence. The role is field based and will require substantial contact with customers as well as the UK sales team and other Hach associates. Strong communication skills as well as a thorough understanding of Industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment processes are therefore an essential requirement of the role. Typical areas of responsibility : · Work with the sales teams to Identify product and process optimisation sales opportunities, advising on customer proposals. · Identify areas for application development for Hach products and services with customers and the sales teams alike. · Technical training provision, particularly to the sales Account Managers and other associates · Technical excellence champion for both customers and within Hach · Understand, monitor and communicate market, regulatory and competitor positioning and changes with the UK & Ireland Industrial and municipal markets. · Work with Product Managers to facilitate effective rollout of new products in UK & Ireland markets. · Building client relationships both internal and external in order to achieve success. · Work with Process and systems specialists and assist with Site Surveys for project solutions. The requirements of the job include: · Industrial process knowledge, particularly in wastewater treatment and/or process water is desirable. · Familiarity with water monitoring equipment is desirable. · Willingness to travel on a regular basis in order to satisfy the requirements of customers and sales teams in the region of 2-3 days per week with some overnight stays. · 3 – 5 years professional experience typically in a water quality instrumentation provider, water utility, Industrial company, consultant or contractor organisation. · Knowledge of SCADA/PLC or process control systems is an advantage.
