The role focuses on building ingestion pipelines and the volume configuration generator, eliminating manual engineering labor by automating the extraction of legacy data and generating hundreds of site-specific network configurations. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about creating bulletproof Python pipelines and turning chaotic spreadsheets into automated, production-ready deployments. Responsibilities - Build an ingestion pipeline to extract, transform, and load data from legacy systems, CMDBs, and network probes into a centralized staging database - Standardize and normalize data across multiple heterogeneous sources to ensure consistency and usability - Develop and maintain a configuration engine using Python and Ansible to manage network parameters (IPs, VLANs, hostnames) - Integrate master database values into Jinja2 templates to generate standardized configuration outputs - Automate the generation of site-specific configuration files to support deployment and cutover activities - Enable scalable configuration generation to support high-volume rollout scenarios - Maintain and monitor Transition State Machine (TSM) data pipelines to ensure stability during design and deployment phases Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in Network Automation, ETL development, and Data Engineering - Advanced proficiency in Python, Ansible, and SQL - Deep experience with templating languages, like Jinja2, Mako, Cheetah3, and Genshi, to automate configuration generation at scale - Strong ability to interact with REST APIs and parse unstructured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) from legacy monitoring tools and databases. - Familiarity with infrastructure data points (IP addresses, subnets, MAC addresses). The role focuses on accurate data parsing rather than network routing design. • Design, build, and maintain automations across PSA, RMM, and cloud platforms. • Streamline workflows, accelerate ticket resolution, and keep client environments compliant. • Build and maintain reusable automations in Immybot, PowerShell/Python. • Create event-driven workflows using APIs, webhooks, and iPaaS/RPA. • Map current service workflows and eliminate waste via automation. • Automate asset lifecycle tasks. • Own configuration hygiene across tenants. • Create CI/CD pipelines for scripts and policy-as-code. • Integrate PSA, RMM, documentation, and billing systems to ensure SSOT. • Document runbooks and code; enable technicians to safely run automations.
