Job Description

Associate Agentic Engineer

Relevate Health

Associate Agentic Engineer The Associate Agentic Engineer is the execution engine within Relevate's Agentic Orchestration function. You’ll work under the direction of the Agentic Product Engineer, taking well-scoped problems and producing reliable, tested output — primarily through agent orchestration rather than traditional hand-written code. You may be earlier in your engineering career, but you’re not a traditional junior developer. You’ve already embraced AI-native development as your primary way of working and are eager to deepen that skillset. This is a formative role. You’ll learn how to break down problems, direct autonomous systems, identify gaps in agent output, and build production-level discipline around AI-assisted workflows — with a clear path to growing into an Agentic Product Engineer. Key Responsibilities • Execute clearly scoped engineering tasks using Claude Code, agent pipelines, and agentic development environments under senior guidance • Translate structured technical briefs into effective prompts and agent instructions that produce reliable, reviewable output • Build and maintain test coverage — with a focus on identifying edge cases agents may miss • Support component development for the Treatment Perspectives Platform and internal tools under architectural direction • Document agent workflows, edge cases, and failure modes to build shared knowledge • Proactively flag blockers, dependencies, and integration risks — escalating with context and proposed solutions • Continuously develop engineering depth by understanding not just what agents produce, but how and why • Perform other duties as assigned Note: Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs. Success Measures • Takes ownership of outcomes and meets deadlines • Builds strong internal and external partnerships • Adapts to change with professionalism and resilience • Delivers high-quality work aligned with business impact Skills / Qualifications • Solid engineering fundamentals (CS degree, bootcamp, or equivalent hands-on experience building software) • Experience using LLM-based development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as a core workflow • Curiosity about how systems connect — APIs, data flow, architecture, and basic deployment concepts • Strong written communication — able to clearly explain problems, ask precise questions, and document work • Comfortable working independently on well-defined tasks in an asynchronous environment • Healthcare or pharma experience is a plus, but not required — willingness to learn HIPAA considerations is essential Growth Path This role is designed as a clear development track. Strong performance leads directly to the Agentic Product Engineer level. Within 12–18 months, the goal is for you to independently scope and lead complex builds, managing agent workflows end-to-end. Work Environment · Standard office or remote work environment · May require occasional travel or extended hours during peak business periods Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Relevate Health is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
