Job Description

Senior Manager, Data & Web Engineering

QIMA

• Own the codebase, APIs, and automations behind customer data flows across websites, registrations, leads, pipeline, and reporting. • Own the global QIMA website and 20+ acquired customer-facing websites, and the cross-functional alignment that drives commercial value across all sites. • Design and improve the architecture that ingests data from web, CMS, email, social, search, and advertising sources and makes it understandable and usable in CRM and customer-facing systems. • Build the playbook, tooling, and governance to integrate acquired websites, CRMs, marketing stacks, and customer databases into QIMA’s platforms quickly and safely. • Embed AI into how the team designs, builds, tests, and operates. • Own the standards, monitoring, and remediation that keep customer data, pipeline data, and cross-platform connections fit for purpose. • Establish the standards, tools, and cadence to capture how systems work, how processes run, and why decisions were made. • Lead an AI-fluent team of engineers, supported by contractors and agencies where specialist depth is needed short-term.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years managing a team of data engineers
  • 6+ years combined experience with Python and PHP, or equivalent modern web and data languages; comfort reading and refactoring legacy Perl is a plus, given the historic QIMA codebase
  • 2+ years with MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • 2+ years using and building REST APIs
  • Current, day-to-day use of AI-assisted development tooling (for example Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as a core part of engineering practice
  • Practical experience integrating LLMs into production workflows (API orchestration, prompt design, context management, evals, cost-aware architecture); exposure to agentic AI patterns a strong plus
  • Integration experience with a CRM platform, ideally Zoho
  • Building or managing large static websites (for example 11ty, Hugo, Jekyll, Gatsby) and working with a CMS, ideally Contentful

Benefits

  • A temporary contract with the possibility of extension and eventually unlimited contract
  • Incorporation in a young and dynamic corporate environment
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge
  • A dynamic and inclusive work environment with diverse and passionate colleagues
  • A company culture that values respect, diversity, and social responsibility
  • Company bonus package
  • Advanced technology in a modern workplace
  • Flexible working hours
  • Team building activities, company outings, and parties to build camaraderie

As a Front End Developer at Movable Ink, you’ll partner with some of the world’s most recognized brands, helping them bring dynamic, real-time marketing experiences to life across email, web, mobile, and display channels. You’ll work within a flexible React-based framework but spend most of your time writing vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to create polished, custom solutions that deliver immediate business impact for clients. Projects are short-cycle, varied, and collaborative, requiring creativity, technical craftsmanship, and clear communication. Think smaller, purpose-built applications in a fast-paced, agency-like environment. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Client Experience Managers and Solutions Architects to scope and define technical requirements for client projects - Build, test, and deliver client-specific apps and dynamic experiences on top of the Movable Ink Platform - Translate designs and ideas into functional, production-ready email/web/mobile experiences - Provide input on feasibility and UX improvements during the design phase - Balance multiple projects at once with autonomy and ownership, delivering on time and upholding code quality - Troubleshoot and support deployed client projects as needed Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience writing client-side technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) - Strong vanilla JavaScript fundamentals; React knowledge is a plus, but not the core of your daily work - Experience working in an environment where priorities shift and projects are short-term and highly varied (agency or consulting experience is a plus) - Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and working with dynamic data - Strong UX sensibility and attention to detail - Experience with automated testing tools (Jest, Karma, etc.) is a plus - Strong time management skills and ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic, client-facing environment Studies have shown that women, communities of color, and historically underrepresented people are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture where all Inkers can thrive. If you’re excited about the role but don’t meet all of the abovementioned qualifications, we encourage you to apply. Our differences bring a breadth of knowledge and perspectives that makes us collectively stronger.
