Lead Front-End Engineer – Digital Agency

• Lead the implementation of high-fidelity UI, including animations and business logic using React, Next.js, and TypeScript • Architect and integrate headless CMS solutions, ensuring seamless content delivery and authoring experience • Build and maintain scalable Design Systems following Atomic Design principles using Storybook • Mentor and guide front-end engineers, ensuring code quality, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA+), and performance standards • Collaborate closely with Design and Product teams to ensure feasibility and pixel-perfect execution
Job Requirements
- Deep expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern styling frameworks (Tailwind, MUI, CSS Modules)
- Strong experience with headless CMS, particularly Sanity.io (including GROQ/GraphQL) and migrations from platforms like WordPress or AEM
- Solid understanding of state management solutions (Zustand, Redux, or XState) and front-end testing frameworks
- Proven experience leading distributed teams within Agile/SCRUM environments

We’re hiring a Senior Front-End Engineer to own and scale the front-end layer of a platform used daily in live rail operations. Strategic Context Transreport exists to remove structural barriers in rail travel. Our vision is that everyone has access to travel everywhere. We operate across the UK, Japan, and the EU and have supported over 10 million assistance requests for more than 1 million users. We are a Series A company recognised with a King’s Award. As our platform grows in complexity, this role ensures that usability, stability, and engineering quality scale with it in a live rail environment where failures directly impact real journeys.
