• Develop SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from our BigQuery database for use in Power BI semantic models and ad-hoc analyses • Update database structure to support star schema models consisting of fact and dimension tables, in close consultation with team lead and data engineering • Review documentation and define data requirements for new source data to communicate team needs and enable the data engineering team to build fit-for-purpose data pipelines • Test and validate new and existing source data to ensure accuracy of the foundational database and support the team’s position as a “Source of Truth” in a complex data landscape • Create and maintain documentation on the team’s database and dataflows to enable all stakeholders to understand, use, and communicate about the data the team provides.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Modelling, Data Analysis, or similar
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using complex SQL queries to validate and manipulate large datasets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on best practice and data governance
  • Strong data comprehension skills, capable of reviewing complex documentation and applying it to the requirements of reporting use cases
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with BigQuery or other data warehousing platforms.
