Content Operations Manager Location: Remote (United States) — Florida welcome Type: Full-time Compensation: $75,000–$95,000 base Reports To: Editorial Manager (dotted line to Director of AI Visibility) About 5W Public Relations 5W Public Relations is one of the largest independently owned PR and digital marketing agencies in the United States. Founded in 2003, 5WPR serves clients across consumer, technology, health, beauty, finance, gaming, cannabis, crisis, and digital marketing practices. Named PR Agency of the Year by the American Business Awards, a Top 50 Global PR Agency by PRovoke Media, and Digiday WorkLife Employer of the Year. 5WPR owns the leading independent publication covering the public relations industry, published continuously since January 2009. We are now expanding our owned media network across the verticals we serve — giving 5W category-defining editorial authority in every practice area and making us the first PR firm to systematically build LLM citation authority at scale. The Role The publishing engine. This person makes everything actually ship. You are the back-end operator across all 5W-owned properties and our growing network of owned media. WordPress, schema implementation, internal linking, social scheduling, Search Console — all of it runs through you. Without this role in seat, our expanded network cannot go live. This is not a writing role. It is a systems and execution role for someone who is deeply detail-oriented, technically fluent in modern publishing tools, and takes personal accountability for content going live correctly and on time. What You Will Own - Publishing content across all 5W-owned properties and our owned media network on schedule — every piece, every day - WordPress back-ends across all properties — plugins, updates, user permissions, security - Schema and structured data implementation on every post using templates provided - Image upload, formatting, alt text, and compression for page speed on every piece - Internal linking — every piece published gets contextual links to relevant 5wpr.com practice pages - Social scheduling in coordination with the social team - Submission to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools after every publish - Sitemap generation, broken link monitoring, redirects, and 404 management across all properties What You Need - 3–5 years in content operations, WordPress administration, or digital publishing - Deep WordPress fluency — plugins, custom fields, user roles, security — you have administered WordPress sites, not just posted to them - Basic HTML/CSS — you can fix a formatting issue without calling a developer - Familiarity with schema templates — you can apply them correctly even if not writing from scratch - Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics comfort - Obsessive attention to detail — nothing ships wrong, nothing ships late Why you’ll love working here - Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits & wellness programs including partnership with ClassPass! - Flexible PTO - Summer Fridays and Winter, Spring, and Fall Fridays too! - Hybrid work model offering flexibility and work-life balance - Expanded parental leave and family planning support - Continuous learning through “5W University” and development initiatives - Student Loan Reimbursement - Professional Development Support - Exclusive access to season tickets for pro sports teams along with Broadway shows, and more! - Charitable giving, including matching donations #LI-Remote

Varonis is looking for an AEO Content Engineer to elevate our visibility across modern search surfaces, AI answer engines, and community-driven platforms with rigor, speed, and an obsessive focus on accuracy. This role sits at the intersection of content, search, and AI systems. You’ll own how Varonis shows up in zero-click environments, how our brand is represented by LLMs, and how our content influences what gets cited, summarized, and trusted. You’ll fully own the Varonis blog as a core AEO asset, while also shaping how third-party sources, technical communities, and high-trust platforms feed into AI-generated answers about data security. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, resilient, curious, and relentless about finding and fixing the narrative when needed. Responsibilities: - Develop own and execute our end-to-end AEO strategy to define how we show up across AI answer engines, setting the KPIs and goals, and reporting progress clearly to leadership. - Build and own a content program designed with AEO in mind — topic clusters, entity authority, answer-first structure, and a publishing cadence that treats the blog as a living AEO asset. - Write and edit across every format and channel that feeds AI answers (blog posts, product pages, FAQs, Reddit threads, etc.) with a consistent bar for technical accuracy and answer intent. - Audit existing content continuously to identify gaps between what we publish and what AI models' surface and keep our messaging current as the product evolves. - Implement structured data, schema markup, and on-page optimizations that improve AI discoverability. - Monitor our presence across Reddit, industry forums, and Q&A platforms that LLMs treat as high-trust inputs to respond in ways that keep us authoritative, accurate, and timely. - Identify and shape how third-party sources influence AI-generated answers about us, building a layered AEO ecosystem, not just owned content. - Stay ahead of how AI search is evolving and adapting strategies proactively. - Experiment with content formats, structures, and distribution strategies designed specifically for modern search behaviors. - Partner closely with SMEs across product, sales, and marketing to pressure-test technical claims and ensure everything we publish holds up to expert scrutiny. The ideal candidate will have: - 3+ years of experience in creating search-focused content, editorial roles, or related B2B content positions (cybersecurity experience is a plus). - Demonstrated knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), including the distinction between LLM training data and real-time retrieval (RAG. - Working knowledge of Schema.org structured data types and their role in LLM entity disambiguation and citation process as well as knowledge of how LLM crawlers (GPTBot, CCBot, PerplexityBot) work at a technical level. - Demonstrated experience engaging in communities such as Reddit, technical forums, etc., from a brand or research perspective. - Strong writing and editorial judgment, with the ability to make complex technical topics approachable without oversimplifying. - A highly organized, detailed-orientated, and analytical mindset with the ability to translate incomplete or noisy data into action. You don’t wait for perfect information to act. - Enjoys finding errors, edge cases, and inconsistencies in technical explanations, especially when AI gets them wrong, and fixing them with rigor and speed. - Think in systems, not just pages. You understand how blogs, forums, reviews, and third-party sites influence AI answers together. You’re able to build a layered AEO framework, not just a list of tactics. - Actively experiment with LLMs and AI tools to understand search behavior and why answers change, not just that they change.
