The Role The Data Engineer must be comfortable working virtually as part of one or more customer engagements. You will work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. - Position Location: Remote (Latin America). - Time Zone Requirements: This team operates on US East/West Coast time zones. Candidates must be willing to adjust schedules to meet specific project needs. How you’ll make an impact: - Pipeline Architecture: Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture. - Data Assembly: Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements. - Process Improvement: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability. - Infrastructure: Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of sources using SQL and Cloud technologies (Azure/GCP). - Tooling: Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader. What we’re looking for: - Communication: Advanced English (B2-C1, spoken and written). - Experience: 4+ years as a Data Engineer experience building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management. - Technical Stack: Experience with Databricks, Python, and SQL (Scala is a plus). - Big Data Tools: Familiarity with Apache Spark, Data Factory, Synapse, or BigQuery. - Data Pipelines: Experience building Big Data pipelines via Streams and/or Batches. - Analytical Skills: Strong skills related to working with unstructured datasets and performing root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement. • Own the end-to-end data quality backlog: intake, analysis, prioritization, definition, tracking, and closure. • Define severity/impact criteria (patient, compliance, operational, reporting) and SLAs with key stakeholders. • Perform root cause analysis for issues such as duplicates, missing/invalid values, inconsistent definitions, referential integrity problems, mapping errors, and out-of-standard data. • Implement remediation actions: validation rules, deduplication, normalization, reconciliation, and preventive monitoring. • Design and maintain data quality controls (tests, rules, scorecards) and alerting to prevent recurrence. • Work confidently with standard/custom objects, relationships, security/access model considerations, integrations, and processes impacting data quality. • Ensure solutions follow Salesforce data management standards and best practices (governance, naming conventions, ownership, stewardship, lineage/traceability where applicable). • Collaborate with PO/BA/Engineers/QA to turn data issues into actionable Salesforce-related data quality user stories. • Lead/participate in refinement: scope definition, acceptance criteria, test approach, release plan, and validation. • Support execution and verify outcomes in lower environments and production. • Provide guidance and recommendations on data strategy, data management standards, and sustainable quality practices. • Propose a 2026 roadmap of quick wins and structural improvements to improve reliability and reduce recurring issues.

This is a senior-level Individual Contributor (IC) role where you will operate with a high degree of independence. (Experience with tools such as AutoRek or ReconArt is highly valued here). - Tooling & Optimization: Lead the adoption of data transformation tools to empower teams in their data-driven decision-making processes. Preferred Qualifications / Experience - Reconciliation Tools: Experience with AutoRek, ReconArt, or similar financial reconciliation software. - BI & Visualization: Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker. - Cloud Infrastructure: Experience working within the AWS ecosystem.
