At Visa, you'll have the opportunity to create impact at scale — tackling meaningful challenges, growing your skills and seeing your contributions impact lives around the world. Join Visa and do work that matters – to you, to your community, and to the world. Progress starts with you. Job Description We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer who can bridge deep product knowledge with clear business outcomes for Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) across Europe. In this role, you will help banks, issuers, and fintech's understand how Visa’s Pismo platform fit into their architecture, design solutions that win enterprise trust, and collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to accelerate adoption of AI‑native, cloud‑native issuing and digital solutions. As part of Visa, Pismo is redefining the future of issuing and core payments. Pismo’s technology enables financial institutions to move beyond legacy constraints and deliver modern digital experiences at scale. Moreover, it plays a critical role in the broader ecosystem—its cloud‑native, real‑time issuing and core processing platform serves as a backbone and enabler for numerous Visa Value‑Added Services. A key part of the role will be solutioning complex, multi‑product deals that combine Pismo with other Visa services, delivering unified architectures that maximize client value. You will guide clients through these combined solution designs, shaping end‑to‑end modernization programs that are scalable, secure, and implementation‑ready. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands‑on engagement, driving architectural clarity, influencing senior stakeholders, and helping major European institutions transform their technology landscapes. Key responsibilities - Drive the Pismo technical sales strategy across Europe, guiding discovery, solution design, and evaluation cycles with major issuers and fintechs. - Solution complex, multi‑product deals, combining Pismo with other Visa Value‑Added Services to deliver cohesive, end‑to‑end client architectures. - Own strategic technical engagements end‑to‑end, influencing client decision‑making and ensuring solution designs are implementation‑ready and aligned with Visa’s delivery capabilities. - Act as the senior technical advisor, shaping client strategy and steering complex solution decisions that drive innovation beyond traditional payments. - Translate diverse client needs into compelling architectures that are scalable, secure, and feasible within real-world, regulated environments. - Influence and orchestrate cross‑functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, Delivery) to align roadmaps, resolve obstacles, and accelerate client value. - Serve as the senior technical voice in high‑stakes, strategic deals, building executive‑level confidence through clarity, authority, and expertise. - Drive technical enablement by developing and maintaining clear frameworks, materials, and best‑practice architectures. - Identify emerging client needs and market opportunities, shaping Visa’s VAS and Pismo strategy, and helping institutions modernize their platforms at scale. This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications: 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD - Experience in solutions architecture or technical sales engineering, ideally in payments, fintech, or high‑growth technology environments. - Strong understanding of technical architectures, APIs, data flows, integrations, and cloud infrastructure. - Consultative selling mindset: able to map Visa’s product capabilities to client pain points, regulatory needs, and measurable ROI. - Skilled at simplifying complex technical concepts for both engineering teams and executive stakeholders. - Builder mentality: creating reusable frameworks, demos, POCs, and scalable pre‑sales assets. - Strong cross‑functional partner to Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery, maintaining tight feedback loops. - Bonus: experience with AI platforms, developer tools, or enterprise integration patterns. - Full fluency in French and English Visa is an EEO Employer Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status. Visa will also consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with EEOC guidelines and applicable local law.
