Solution and Innovation Senior Consultant Remote Location within the United States Job Summary: As a Senior Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor to Pellera’s client base and provide expertise in administering technical service delivery efforts, specifically engineering of Red Hat OpenShift solutions. The Senior Consultant will also be involved in deploying and customizing other solutions per the unique client environment requirements. Essential Functions: - Develop, review, and delivery solutions in accordance with best practices with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, whether on-premise or hosted in cloud providers - Provide expertise on Red Hat OpenShift storage and network architectures - Deliver associated Red Hat OpenShift technologies such as Advanced Cluster Manager, Advanced Cluster Security, Service Mesh, Data Foundation, and Quay Work in an agile fashion deploying and utilizing DevOps pipelines with best practices - Use tools like cURL, strace, and Wireshark to investigate and troubleshoot technical issues - Record customer interactions, including investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues Work closely with Red Hat’s development engineering team and assist production support engineers and technical account managers - Demonstrate considerable judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions - Assist in the development of comprehensive and reusable self-service solutions for future incidents - Troubleshoot product issues as they arise - Evaluate and recommend new and emerging services and technologies Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ethical and Critical Thinking - Good understanding of Linux tools with an emphasis on scripting, cURL, Git, Podman, Kubernetes, strace, and tcpdump - Development experience with multiple programming languages and experience writing patches or pull requests - Commitment to providing the best experience possible for end-customers Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science, or equivalent work experience - 5+ years of experience working within a consulting environment - 5+ years of experience with Linux or Unix operating systems - Experience working with hosted applications or large-scale application deployments - Experience with Podman, Kubernetes, Red Hat Middleware, Apache Tomcat, Node.js, Ruby (web frameworks), Python (web frameworks), and .NET Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
