The Role: As a Senior Sales Engineer at Ping Identity, you'll merge your enthusiasm for identity management with a commitment to customer success. In collaboration with our dynamic sales team, you will engage in customer meetings, demonstrations, and proof of concepts, showcasing the business and technical benefits of our solutions. Your role is pivotal in enabling personal, team, and customer achievements through insightful and innovative solutions that meet technical and business needs. This role offers the chance to showcase your technical and consultative skills, engaging with stakeholders of various roles and levels to understand and meet their technical requirements with cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies will be key in delivering impactful solutions that align with customer business goals. Responsibilities: - Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, presentations, technical guidance, proof of concepts, and RfX responses. - Act as the go-to technical expert on Ping Identity solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams. - Establish enduring relationships with customers and become their trusted advisor - Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue. Emphasis during key sales cycle phases of Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof Phase - Coordinate, throughout sales cycle, pre-sales efforts with a post-sales service delivery team - Leading customer-facing meetings, both through videoconferencing and in-person to, deliver presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions and their value remotely, in-person, and at industry events - Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and customer needs to product owners. - Mentoring, both formally and informally, junior team members - Develop subject matter expert-level knowledge of at least one of Ping Identity's solutions and serve as an expert resource to other Sales Engineers within the organization - Able to travel 15% to 40% as needed Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field, or 5+ years' experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role, such as pre-sales, consulting, support, or training - Deep knowledge of standard identity protocols: SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM as well as experience with REST interfaces - Deep knowledge of technologies that underly identity solutions: LDAP (including Active Directory), SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, JDBC - Experience with one or more modern programming languages and web technologies: JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, Java. - Expertise in developing and delivering effective technical presentations, workshops, customized demonstrations, and proof of concepts - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Adept at linking technical capabilities to customer needs. - Ability to work with a high level of self-direction and/or collaboratively with team and customers - Knowledge of a subset of the following IAM concepts: Authentication / Authorization / Federation / Single Sign-On / User Lifecycle Management / Provisioning / Governance / Workflow / - Eagerness to learn; expertise in specific business areas or industry verticals is a bonus. - Familiarity with infrastructure, networking technologies, and cloud service providers. Ideal Candidate Skills: - Installation and/or configuration of one or more IAM technologies from Ping, Okta, Auth0, Sailpoint, CA, Oracle or similar - Experience with several types of web applications servers and operating systems: Windows, Mac, RedHat, Ubuntu, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat - Experience with DevOps processes and platforms such as GitHub, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm, as well as deployment in major cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) - Successful delivery of a SaaS-based IAM solution - Experience in Ping multi-tenant SaaS solutions: PingOne SSO, PingID, PingOne MFA, PingOne Verify, PingOne Protect, PingOne Authorize, and DaVinci Base Hiring Range: $135,000-$155,000 + Commissions In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities. This role will focus on: As the Senior Solutions Specialist – Single Use (SSS) for Watson-Marlow Architect (WMA), you will play a key leadership role in driving the growth, adoption, and technical success of the WMA platform across the USA Life Sciences division. Reporting to the Vice President, you will work collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class solution expertise, support complex customer projects, and ensure WMA solutions meet evolving customer needs from early-stage design through full-scale manufacturing. You will serve as the technical authority on Single-Use Systems (SUS), providing deep expertise in system architecture, fluid path design, product integration, and validation considerations. The SSS will be responsible for translating customer requirements into scalable, high-value solutions while supporting the commercial team in positioning WMA effectively within the market. The primary responsibility of the SSS will be to work cross-functionally throughout the Life Sciences division to define, develop, and standardize solution best practices for WMA. This includes creating sales enablement resources, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring alignment between global teams and US stakeholders. This role will be expected to build and maintain a strong network within the Single-Use ecosystem, including end users, EPCM firms, system integrators, and industry organizations. In this high-impact role, you will act as a thought leader by representing Watson-Marlow at industry events, influencing market perception, and driving adoption of WMA solutions through technical credibility and strategic engagement. Who you’ll be working with This role is highly cross-functional and requires strong collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and the WMA Business Manager. Success in this role depends on building effective partnerships internally while also developing strong external relationships with customers, EPCM firms, system integrators, and industry organizations. This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to support customer engagement, project execution, and industry events. • Demonstrated track record of successfully growing a Single-Use business, with experience supporting revenue exceeding $5 million. • Bachelor's degree in business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical field required; advanced degree preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in biopharmaceutical applications, system design, or Single-Use technologies. • Comprehensive knowledge of Single-Use system architecture, configurable fluid path solutions, and engineering design principles. • Proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities with a strong customer-focused mindset. • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence both commercial and technical stakeholders. • Advanced technical consultation skills, including process mapping and workflow optimization. • Excellent presentation, communication, and analytical skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems and team-based project management tools. This position offers a salary range of USD 101,166.00 - 121,000.00 Salaried per year and eligibility for a Sales Incentive Program. Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate’s expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed.
