About This Role Boulder Care is seeking a Provider Licensing Specialist to join the Finance team. You will have the opportunity to oversee Boulder's comprehensive licensing process by managing documentation, collaborating with clinicians, and tracking timelines to ensure all Care Team members maintain the necessary credentials and contracts for regulatory compliance, while also providing secondary support for payor credentialing needs as required. What You'll Do Essential Functions - 70% - Assisting with obtaining needed documentation from providers, such as copies of state licenses, IRS documents, NPI Notification forms, DEA numbers, board certifications, malpractice certificate of insurance, etc. - Applying for or assisting providers with applications for provider state licenses, DEA certifications and state controlled substance certifications; recertify as needed. - Assisting with new provider onboarding - Tracking progress of outstanding applications to completion and reporting progress to the Revenue Operations team and leadership - Resolving licensing issues through collaboration with management, senior team members, providers, and others as identified - Maintaining provider records as they pertain to licensing and credentialing through the approved platform Provider Credentialing - 20% - Completing and submitting credentialing and re-credentialing applications with all payors accurately and in a timely manner; Ensuring submission deadlines are met and submission documentation is maintained appropriately - Building and maintaining strong relationships with the payor communities, including the government payor community (Medicaid, Medicare, VA, etc) Administrative - 10% - Attending meetings, and other duties as assigned or required What You Bring - At least 2+ years of professional experience with a healthcare provider within relevant department (licensing, contracting or credentialing) - Relevant experience with state licensing applications and/or web sites - Demonstrated understanding of how provider licensing and credentialing impacts billing, contracts, and revenue management/collections - At least 1 year of remote work experience - Experience with state board licensing for nurse practitioners (strongly preferred) - Understands medical terminology, procedure codes and diagnosis codes as it applies to payor contracts - Substantial organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management - Reliable customer service, follow-up, and communication skills - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Team-focused; effective collaboration.
