Senior Technical Product Manager – Engine Authoring Features
Unity
• Define and own a product vision, strategy, and roadmap that is informed by technical product expertise, customer feedback from Unity Studio Productions and Customer Success organizations, Production Verification, market research, user feedback, and competitive analysis • Cultivate strong relationships with Engineering counterparts to lead product areas hand-in-hand. You will drive feature delivery across disparate teams, clearing roadblocks and aligning priorities. • Partner with stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Design, Documentation, Program Management) to identify business goals, user needs, and technical requirements • Prioritize product features and improvements based on a mix of data and user feedback from key external partners and our wider development community. • Collaborate with other product team members to ensure solid cross-product integration and minimization of redundant feature code • Facilitate customer feedback loops to refine and improve the product by iteratively adding customer value • Hands-on tests and demos to understand requirements and proposed solutions, verify deliveries, and showcase delivered features to customers, users, and partners
Job Requirements
- Experience shipping games as a developer, ideally in Unity, Unreal, or proprietary game engines
- Deep technical expertise and the ability to evaluate complex technology stacks that cross multiple systems and platforms (i.e. game engines, cloud services, and external APIs).
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively simplifying and articulating complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, from engineers to senior executives.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Strong skills in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder management
- Cross-functional collaboration capabilities to bring teams together as we drive towards common goals and priorities
