What you'll be responsible for: The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for extending Circle's in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support the tokenization of the world; analyzing requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems and modifying systems; building and owning scalable microservices that are responsible for reliable and secure APIs that transfer value and assets across all blockchain protocols as well as traditional banking protocols; collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and shape Circle features, including developing and documenting system design procedures, testing procedures, and quality standards; troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning; building publicly accessible APIs that make it simple for developers to integrate with complex payment systems; integrating Platform Services with leading banks and financial technologies; consulting with management to ensure agreement on system principles; writing the infrastructure to deliver great payment experiences, including data sources (SQL or NoSQL), messaging systems and APIs; other duties as assigned. • Design, develop, and enhance Palantir Foundry applications that support case management, program operations, reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics. • Build user-facing solutions using Workshops and other Foundry application development patterns with a focus on usability, performance, and reliability. • Translate business and product requirements into scalable, production-ready features and workflow tools. • Build and maintain Foundry Pipelines and Transformations that create curated, analytics-ready datasets for operational and reporting use cases. • Apply strong data modeling practices, reusable transformation logic, and maintainable data product design patterns. • Optimize jobs for maintainability, scheduling, dependency management, and operational robustness. • Design and implement Ontology objects, relationships, properties, and actions that power application functionality and workflow automation. • Align ontology design with business concepts, case management semantics, entity definitions, and downstream analytics needs. • Implement governance controls, policies, access models, and permissioning constructs to support secure-by-default delivery. • Apply secure data handling practices appropriate for environments containing PII / PHI / CUI. • Troubleshoot and resolve application and pipeline issues to ensure stability and reliability for end users. • Partner with product owners, data engineers, architects, security teams, and operations teams to deliver mission-focused solutions.
