ABOUT THRIVE MARKET Thrive Market was founded in 2014 with a mission to make healthy and sustainable living easy and affordable for everyone. As an online, membership-based market, we deliver the highest quality healthy, and sustainable products at member-only prices, while matching every paid membership with a free one for someone in need. Every day, we leverage innovative technology and member-first thinking to help our over 1,600,000+ members find better products, support better brands, and build a better world in the process. We are also a Certified B Corporation, a Public Benefit Corporation, and a Climate Neutral Certified company. Join us as we bring healthy and sustainable living to millions of Americans in the years to come. About the RoleThe Recurring pod owns one of the highest-impact product areas at Thrive Market: the experiences that drive members to build lasting shopping habits. This spans auto-ship and subscription replenishment. As the Principal Product Manager for Recurring, you will be the single-threaded owner of this product area. You’ll set the vision and roadmap, run a rigorous experimentation program, and drive measurable results across the surfaces that most directly influence whether a member becomes a long-term, high-frequency buyer. This is an individual contributor role with high executive visibility; you’ll work directly with senior leadership, present to critical stakeholders, and be expected to defend your product strategy with data and conviction. You will also run the day to day operations of the pod responsible for improving the experience. The pod has been intentionally set up for success: a cleaned-up tech stack, a top designer, and a strong engineering leader stepping into the EM seat. What we need is the right product leader to come in, take ownership, and drive outsized impact. What You’ll Own - Product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Recurring product area, covering auto-ship/subscription management - High-velocity experimentation program across core shopping surfaces; identifying opportunities, designing tests, analyzing results, and iterating quickly to compound gains over time - Early member journey optimization — designing the experiences that move a new member from first order to second, third, and beyond, building the habit loop that drives long-term retention and frequency - Cross-functional partnership with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Merchandising, and Marketing to align on priorities, execute with speed, and deliver measurable business outcomes - Stakeholder communication and executive alignment — presenting strategy, defending trade-offs, and building confidence with senior leaders who are deeply invested in the performance of this product area - Data-driven decision making — leveraging analytics, customer insights, and experimentation results to inform prioritization and ensure every bet is grounded in evidence What We’re Looking For - 8+ years of product management experience, with significant time owning consumer-facing e-commerce product surfaces (search, browse, discovery, recommendations, checkout, or subscription/recurring order management) - Deep experience with experimentation and conversion optimization at scale; you’ve run rigorous A/B testing programs and can speak fluently about statistical significance, test design, and how to build a compounding experiment engine - Track record in DTC, membership, or subscription e-commerce environments where driving repeat purchase behavior, retention, and customer lifetime value are core product challenges - Strong analytical orientation — you lead with data, build frameworks for decision-making, and can go deep on metrics without relying on analysts to do the thinking for you - Conviction and executive presence — you can defend your product strategy under direct scrutiny from senior leadership, hold your ground when you have the data, and know when to adapt. You don’t consensus-seek your way to mediocrity - Experience operating at pace — you’ve worked in environments that ship fast and iterate constantly. You’re energized by velocity, not overwhelmed by it - Resilience and coachability — you take feedback as fuel, separate yourself from your work when it’s being critiqued, and use every input as a chance to get sharper Nice to Have - Experience with personalization systems, recommendation engines, or ML-driven product features - Background in health, wellness, grocery, CPG, or mission-driven consumer brands - Experience building or scaling auto-ship, Subscribe & Save, or recurring order programs - Familiarity with habit-loop mechanics, behavioral product design, or customer lifecycle frameworks BELONG TO A BETTER COMPANY - Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability) - Competitive salary (DOE) + equity - 401k Employer Match - 9 Days of Observed Holidays - Flexible Paid Time Off - Subsidized ClassPass Membership with access to fitness classes and wellness and beauty experiences - Ability to work in our beautiful office in Playa Vista - Free Thrive Market membership with exclusive employee discount - Coverage for Life Coaching & Therapy Sessions on our holistic mental health and well-being platform We're a community of more than 1 Million + members who are united by a singular belief: It should be easy to find better products, support better brands, make better choices, and build a better world in the process.
