The Knoxville Execution Center provides engineering to our government projects as well as our commercial nuclear projects. Our services span from initial planning and investment, through start-up and operations. Job Summary: Develop and maintain piping material class sheets (Piping Specifications) in S3D. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Major Responsibilities: - Perform dimensional data review for piping components specified in Bechtel piping material class. - Ability to create geometric data in accordance with Industry Design Codes/Standards and project requirements in Smart Reference Data (SRD) application. - Develop and maintain piping commodity codes in SRD application. - Ability to extract SRD piping data for 3D modelling, generate required validation reports, and configure validation requirements for SRD to 3D modeling systems (S3D, E3D). - Having adequate experience to adopt a practical approach to piping component problems and be familiar with the requirements of 3D modelling. - Assist Bechtel Plant Design Piping & Valve Group and coordinate with Engineering Automation discipline as required. Education and Experience Requirements: - Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience​ Required Knowledge and Skills: - U.S. Citizenship is required. - Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education. - Knowledgeable of standard piping codes such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, IPC, etc. - Prior experience developing piping material class sheets & technical specifications. - Prior experience with S3D Reference Data.
