Role Description We are looking for Frontend Developers to join a project delivered for our international client operating in the sustainability and ESG domain. This role is a great opportunity to work on a live production application undergoing a major modernization and migration initiative. - Develop, maintain, and improve frontend applications within the client’s internal web component ecosystem. - Support the migration of existing React-based frontend solutions into a lit-html based architecture. - Build reusable UI components and frontend features aligned with the client’s internal standards and component libraries. - Collaborate closely with backend engineers working on the migration from Python-based pipelines to Java services. - Translate business and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and user-friendly interfaces. - Create and maintain unit, integration, and browser-based automated tests. - Ensure high code quality through testing, debugging, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities. - Work closely with frontend developers, backend engineers, QA specialists, technical leads, and internal customer stakeholders. - Contribute to frontend architecture discussions, migration planning, and modernization activities. - Support the continuous improvement of development standards, engineering practices, and delivery workflows. - Depending on seniority, take ownership of technical areas, support architectural decisions, and mentor less experienced team members. Qualifications - Commercial experience as a Frontend Developer in modern web application development. - Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript in frontend environments. - Good practical experience with React and component-based frontend development. - Interest in or experience with web components and modern frontend architecture patterns. - Experience working with reusable UI libraries and shared frontend components. - Practical understanding of lit-html or willingness to quickly learn and work within a lit-html based ecosystem. - Experience with unit, integration, and browser-based testing approaches and tools. - Good understanding of frontend application architecture, maintainability, and scalability. - Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services and APIs. - Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and browser compatibility. - Experience with Git and standard software development workflows. - Strong communication and collaboration skills in international engineering environments. - Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery. - Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required. Nice to have - Experience with web components or lit-html based solutions. - Experience working on migration or modernization projects involving legacy frontend stacks. - Knowledge of frontend architecture patterns in enterprise-scale applications. - Experience working in complex internal platform environments. - Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work. - Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
