Velocity is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with expertise in marina design and construction as well as information technology (IT) systems implementation. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex waterfront development projects that integrate physical infrastructure with modern IT and smart-marina technologies. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Management - Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules for marina construction and IT system integration. - Manage all phases of construction including design coordination, permitting, procurement, and commissioning. - Coordinate with civil, marine, structural, and electrical engineers to ensure project specifications meet environmental and safety standards. - Oversee contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget. - Conduct regular progress reviews, risk assessments, and issue resolution. IT & Systems Integration - Lead the implementation of marina management systems, smart docking, and IoT-enabled infrastructure. - Oversee the integration of IT systems such as security surveillance, access control, Wi-Fi, and energy management. - Collaborate with IT vendors and system integrators to ensure seamless interoperability and cybersecurity compliance. - Evaluate and optimize data-driven systems to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. Stakeholder Coordination - Serve as the primary liaison between owners, engineers, contractors, IT teams, and government agencies. - Prepare and deliver progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations for stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, maritime standards, and local construction codes. Financial & Risk Management - Manage project budgets, cost control, and change management processes. - Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. - Oversee procurement and contract administration. Education, Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Marine Engineering, or Information Technology; Master’s preferred. - Minimum 7–10 years of experience in project management with at least 3 years in marina or waterfront construction. - Proven experience in IT system implementation, particularly in infrastructure, automation, or facility management contexts. - Strong understanding of marine infrastructure, dredging, piling, floating systems, and coastal permitting processes. - Excellent knowledge of PM methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, or Agile). - Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and IT systems (e.g., SCADA, IoT, ERP). - Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Attributes: - PMP or equivalent project management certification. - Experience in smart-marine technologies or digital transformation of port facilities. - Knowledge of environmental sustainability and green marina initiatives.
