Claims Assistant

All

OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE: Responsible for registering / processing insurance claims relating to customers' General Liability, motor, and property policies. This will involve working with the policy holder, brokers, colleagues, and other professionals to ensure that the claim is valid. You'll be responsible for managing client inboxes along with the portal and OICP to ensure every new claim is processed within 1 business day. You will also be involved in processing payments as and when necessary, managing diary, instructing suppliers to the claims process and providing regular updates to clients. You'll be assisting the wider claims team with providing the customer any other services that may be required following an accident or incident. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsibilities include but are not limited to; - Manage the OICP and MOJ portal for the team. Making sure all new claims are allocated from here and that the handler is aware of any medical evidence that has been submitted. - Manage the client inboxes for new claims and correspondence. - Liaising with adjusters and clients on claims that are not solely handled by the TPA team. - Register injury claims with CACHE for the team. - Assist the team with making payments as and when necessary. - Assist the team with diary and manage your own where claims are being handled by the adjusters. - Assist with pre-fixing post in the system. - Our IT system has been designed in the main by us to help you do your job effectively and provide you with all the tools you need. You will be able to see your outstanding tasks and manage your workload. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: - Liaising with adjusters, clients, and solicitors as and when necessary. - Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening. - Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time effectively - Knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel PERSON SPECIFICATION: - A positive human being.
