The Role We are seeking a Catastrophe Modeler with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our North America Analytics team to support the delivery of high-quality analytics and risk insights to re/insurers. This is a unique, high visibility role in a new and growing team to build differentiated analytics capabilities from the ground up as well as shape strategy and drive innovation. This role offers a blend of hands-on modeling, exposure to strategic initiatives, and client engagement. You’ll work closely with brokers and analytics colleagues, gaining insight into client needs and helping shape Willie Re’s analytics offering. About You Essential: - 4 to 6 years experience in catastrophe modeling at a reinsurer, insurer, broker, or vendor. - A degree in a quantitative, analytical, scientific, or engineering discipline (e.g., Maths, Physics, Engineering, Earth Sciences, Geography, Data/Computer Science, Economics). - Experience working with property exposure data. - Familiarity with at least one vendor model (RMS or Verisk). - Understanding of common reinsurance structures (e.g., Catastrophe Excess of Loss, Proportional treaties). - Strong Excel and data manipulation skills; SQL knowledge essential. - Ability to communicate technical work clearly to non-technical audiences. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
