Software Developer, Engineer 3

Mission Technologies, a division of HII

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug complex space simulation software • Lead project efforts and support architectural visioning and technical planning • Support modeling and simulation research across multiple disciplines • Collaborate using tools such as Confluence, Discourse, GitLab, and Jira • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to high engineering standards • Partner with government leadership to maintain priorities and direction • Meet with customers to gather requirements and incorporate feedback • Provide regular progress updates and presentations to customers and leadership

Job Requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in C++, including compiling, linking, and debugging
  • Ability to successfully complete a C++ technical coding challenge
  • Experience with constructive, agent-based, or event-driven modeling and simulation
  • Basic understanding of space concepts (coordinate systems, time, orbital propagation, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
