Job Details Summary of Role: This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business. Shift Details: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm MST/CST The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between business operations, product management, and software development teams to ensure business needs are effectively translated into software requirements and operational solutions. This role is responsible for supporting one or more Micro software products, including Accu-Trac and other business-critical platforms, by gathering requirements, documenting business workflows, supporting process improvements, and ensuring sprint-ready deliverables for development teams. This is a domain-focused role, with strong preference for candidates who possess direct cattle finishing feed yard operational experience and a working understanding of feed yard business processes, office operations, and customer workflows. The Business Analyst will work cross-functionally with product owners, development teams, customer stakeholders, and internal business teams to support solution design, documentation, and release readiness. Responsibilities: Business & Product Partnership - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business partners, product owners, customers, and IT teams - Serve as the liaison between business operations and software development teams - Support one or more MICRO software products or functional workstreams as assigned - Participate in customer-facing discussions to gather workflow, operational, and business requirements - Support product owners with business process questions, workflow clarification, and domain knowledge Requirements & Analysis - Lead requirements intake and discovery efforts with stakeholders and subject matter experts - Conduct stakeholder interviews and information gathering sessions - Document business processes, workflow diagrams, and current-state / future-state process models - Translate business needs into clear problem statements, business requirements, and functional specifications - Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and release documentation - Support backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and change control processes - Manage requirement changes and ensure documentation remains current throughout the project lifecycle - Assist in business case development, research, and data collection as needed Cross-Functional Support - Support development teams by clarifying business rules, operational workflows, and domain-specific questions - Support QA and testing teams from a business workflow and subject matter expertise perspective - Assist in validating that delivered functionality aligns with intended business requirements - Support release readiness activities and documentation - Assist in customer issue investigation and problem statement development Experience: - Minimum 3+ years of experience in cattle finishing feed yard operations - Direct experience with feed yard business workflows, including operational and office processes preferred - Experience with livestock financial, accounting, or office management workflows preferred - Experience using Micro software solutions, including Accu-Trac preferred Education: - Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Agriculture, Animal Science, Accounting, or related field or Equivalent combination of education and relevant business / feed yard operational experience - Prior experience in business analysis, process documentation, or product support preferred - Experience working cross-functionally with software development teams preferred Core Competencies: - Strong business process analysis skills - Excellent documentation and communication skills - Ability to translate operational workflows into software requirements - Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills - Customer-oriented mindset - Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills - Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Understanding of software development lifecycle and sprint-based delivery processes preferred Education: - Bachelor's degree (in progress) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field.
