The position requires close collaboration with High Volume Manufacturing Engineering / Process Equipment Engineering teams across sites, Cost Program teams, Procurement, Quality, the Operations Central Team, and business partners both in Japan and globally, to achieve Micron's strategic Japan Business Ecosystem objectives and goals. Responsibilities and Tasks: - Lead/Support the spare management improvement activities with multi- functional groups such as Manufacturing each Area and Site, Procurement and Operation Central Team teams to meet F15 Site Strategies Programs - Cost/Scale/Quality/Cycle Time (Speed) goal. - Provide technical consulting and hands-on assistance to area teams to create and/or identify the best solutions, troubleshoot existing solutions, and deploy new solutions. - Monitor and communicate progress to partners. - Discussion with Global/other sites and Domestic/International suppliers. - Work with the Global Bench team and Local Suppliers to expand In-house/domestic repairs and find/implement the best solutions and Advanced technologies to expand CCRR. - In-house repair rate at F15 Bench will be improved in collaboration with the Global team - Drive cost reduction initiatives for spare parts and materials as an HVM Cost Engineer to achieve the Hiroshima site strategic program targets for Cost / Scale / Quality / Cycle Time (Speed). - Partner with Manufacturing areas, Procurement, and the Operations Central Team to evaluate buy vs. repair vs. in-house vs. alternate implementation through cost, data, and AI-driven analysis, and to define and execute optimal improvement actions. - Provide both technical and cost-focused support to Area teams across CCRR and spare parts domains. - Promote optimization of repair and refurbishment solutions through AI-enabled cost structure analysis. - Enhance the decision-making process for introducing new technologies and alternate solutions. - Collaborate with the Global Bench Team and domestic/international suppliers to expand in-house repair and domestic repair capabilities. - Improve the in-house repair rate at the F15 Bench and drive process optimization through automation of analytics and reporting. - Contribute to sustainable cost reduction and long-term competitiveness. Requirements: (Not all of the following conditions need to be met.) - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, repair, process, or engineering-related roles. - Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields). - Basic knowledge or experience in spare parts, materials, equipment, processes, or manufacturing environments (preferred). - Strong interest in cost- and data-driven problem analysis and continuous improvement. - Interest in cost analysis and visualization using AI, data analytics tools, and Excel, or in process efficiency improvement and automation (preferred). - Strong motivation for learning, growth, and self-development. - English communication skills (fluency not required; willingness to learn and use English is essential). - Strong problem-solving, logical thinking, and analytical skills. - High level of commitment and perseverance toward achieving goals. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve common objectives. - Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
