We’re seeking an individual with expertise in wholesale electricity markets and demand response. This role will help Leap evaluate future markets and programs to enter. Key Responsibilities - Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing the most promising new market and product opportunities for Leap’s virtual power plant (VPP) technology platform.  - Cultivating relationships and expansion opportunities with Utilities, Retailers, and other buyers of energy, capacity, and ancillary services in North American markets. - Working across internal teams, as well as with clients and partners, to achieve market entry success. - Tracking market trends to identify future opportunities and expand Leap’s presence in both existing and new markets.  - Organizing market and product information to provide input to our Product, Engineering, and Operational  teams to develop our platform.

• Own and manage development-level testing process and outcomes across the platform • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests to validate functionality across APIs, microservices, and user interfaces • Develop and execute integration, functional, and regression tests for distributed systems • Build and maintain automated API tests for RESTful services and service integrations • Design and execute test suites that leverage network emulation to simulate real-world flight-line conditions (latency, packet loss, offline scenarios) • Develop automated validations for client-side persistence, ensuring unsynced data survives refreshes, crashes, and device restarts within browser storage • Partner closely with engineers to validate microservice interactions and platform integrations • Participate in manual testing of user stories and features to validate requirements and expected behavior • Define and improve test strategies, test coverage, and automation frameworks • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable deployments • Investigate and troubleshoot defects, working with engineering teams to reproduce and resolve issues • Create and maintain clear testing documentation, including test cases and validation strategies • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout development.

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (automated and manual as needed) to validate Salesforce-based system functionality, workflows, and integrations. • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure the solution meets stakeholder requirements and federal compliance standards. • Quickly learn and work with agency-provided automated testing systems to test application functionality, API integrations, and availability monitoring. • Validate data migration from legacy systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness. • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements, user stories, and system workflows to design effective test strategies. • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, ensuring timely resolution and retesting. • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews) to provide quality assurance insights and align testing with sprint goals. • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate training materials to ensure usability and adoption. • Create and maintain QA documentation, including test results, defect reports, and quality metrics, for gate reviews and project deliverables. • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and coverage.

• Lead end-to-end test strategy creation, execution planning, and automation coverage expansion across enterprise platforms, APIs, microservices, and UI layers. • Act as test strategy coordinator for cross-team initiatives, including complex integrations, PBM process flows, and multi-system interactions. • Ensure functional, integration, and regression test coverage within sprint cycles, supporting continuous validation of enterprise applications. • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for platform testing methodologies and scalable quality practices. • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases supporting functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. • Contribute to and influence the technology roadmap for test automation frameworks, introducing scalable, maintainable automation libraries. • Apply the Test Automation Pyramid and Shift-Left testing principles to maximize efficiency and early defect detection. • Perform exploratory and targeted manual testing where automation is not feasible or for edge-case validation. • Own CI/CD integration from a Test Engineering perspective by embedding automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar platforms). • Introduce observability into automation efforts through logging, dashboards, defect metrics, and quality reporting. • Validate data integrity, schema evolution, and transactional behavior across relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases. • Validate integrations with Databricks Lakehouse/Lakebase architecture and downstream data workflows. • Build and maintain synthetic and anonymized test data pipelines to support comprehensive testing scenarios. • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to align testing with business requirements and compliance standards. • Serve as liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders during test planning and execution. • Support root cause analysis of defects and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. • Begin mentoring SDETs and peers, fostering knowledge sharing, collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety within teams.
