Estimating Assistant (Remote)

Job Title Remote Estimating Assistant – Low Voltage (Division 27/28) Job Description We are looking for a junior‑level, detail‑oriented Remote Estimating Assistant to support a high volume of bids and quantity take‑offs for low‑voltage construction projects (Division 27/28). This role is focused on accuracy, organization, and independent execution, not senior decision‑making. The ideal candidate is someone early in their career who has real hands‑on experience with construction drawings and Bluebeam, and who can work autonomously without constant supervision. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates located in Honduras, Colombia, Philippines and Kenya working with a small U.S.-based team. Schedule is flexible, aligned with U.S. Eastern Time (approximately 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday). Responsibilities • Perform quantity take‑offs from construction drawings and project documents (Division 27/28) • Review large drawing sets (often 100+ pages) and identify only those relevant to low‑voltage scope • Accurately identify and count devices, components, and systems (devices, cabling, card readers, etc.) • Use Bluebeam daily to mark up, count, and document take‑offs • Enter, organize, and maintain estimating data in Google Sheets • Build and update estimating spreadsheets and bid tracking logs • Assist with quote preparation by organizing scope, pricing, and materials • Track bid deadlines, follow‑ups, and open requests • Communicate via email with general contractors, vendors, and internal team members • Organize project files, drawings, proposals, and supporting documentation • Support senior estimators with general estimating and administrative tasks as needed Required Skills & Qualifications • 6–24 months of experience in roles such as: 1. Junior estimator / estimating assistant 2. Quantity take‑off specialist 3. Construction project support 4. Preconstruction or bid support • Hands‑on experience using Bluebeam for take‑offs (required) • (must be able to work with large drawing sets) • Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings • Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently without micromanagement • Reliable, honest, and accountable work style • Prior exposure to low‑voltage or construction environments is a strong plus Work Details Employment Type: Full‑Time Work Modality: Remote Location: Colombia, Honduras, Philippines and Kenya.
