Job Description

Electrical Engineer – Relay Settings

ICF

• Develop relay settings and protection philosophies for distribution equipment including transformers, bus, cb control, distribution feeders, etc. • Review protection and control design packages • Provide remote field support to the relay test engineers during installation of settings • Model electrical systems in power simulation programs like CAPE, ASPEN & CYME • Create thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations • Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance • Mentoring and training less experienced engineers in power engineering theories and principles

Job Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, preferably electrical or computer engineering
  • 5+ years of experience developing relay settings and protection philosophies for transmission, sub-transmission or distribution equipment including transmission lines, transformers, bus, breaker control, capacitor banks, distribution feeders, etc
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering theories and principles
