Responsibilities - Research indirect tax rules (e.g., taxability, registration thresholds, sourcing, exemptions) across jurisdictions and tax types (sales tax, VAT, GST, etc.). - Translate legal and regulatory content into structured logic and well-documented specifications that can power automated features in our product. - Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to bring research to life in live product features. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of tax logic, edge cases, and reasoning behind decisions. - Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to the product and internal knowledge base. - Support internal teams—such as sales, customer success, and marketing by answering tax-related questions and performing edge-case investigations. - Contribute to tax roadmap planning by identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and helping scope new features.
