Our data science consultants help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. Our high-performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, ranging from data architecture design, data engineering and querying, data visualization and dashboarding, predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. This Managing Consultant will belong to the diverse, talented, and collaborative Homeland Security and Law Enforcement team. They will support a grants management client in applying advanced analytic and automation technologies to streamline and automate processes. The candidate must have the ability to: - Assess complex processes and identify opportunities for use of advanced analytics and process automation - Implement analytic and automation process improvements and monitor their success - Leverage Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Bi, Power Automate) as appropriate to deliver effective solutions based on client needs - Design, develop, and maintain model-driven apps using Microsoft Dataverse - Configure and customize Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, forms, views, and security roles - Develop solutions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse as the core data platform - Integrate model-driven apps with Power Automate workflows and Power BI reporting - Apply Dynamics 365 and Dataverse best practices to support scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions - Analyze various sources of data to identify key insights related to program goals and objectives - Present analytical results and key findings within polished reports and briefings - Work with clients to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) - Develop dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making at all levels of the client’s organization - Develop documentation and training programs (job aids, user guides, live demonstrations) to train client personnel on developed analytic and automation solutions and encourage adoption - Continuously solicit and respond to feedback to ensure that developed solutions best address client needs - Develop data processing and validation scripts to prepare data for downstream reporting, validate data quality, and reconcile identified issues - Serve as technical lead for a team of data analytics and automation developers, overseeing work and facilitating client-facing meetings What You Will Need: - Bachelor’s Degree - Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or process automation - Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred. - US Citizenship is contractually required for this role. - Strong command of Power Bi, with the ability to develop high-quality dashboards, design functional data models according to best practices, and conduct complex data transformations using Power Query. - Proficiency in designing user-friendly and feature-rich Power Apps solutions, including model-driven apps built on Microsoft Dataverse, supported by robust Power Automate flows and integrations. - Hands-on experience developing model-driven apps on the Dataverse platform. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (e.g., configuration, customization, data model, and security concepts). - Experience designing and managing Dataverse environments, including data modeling, security, and performance considerations. - Strong background in developing complex Power Automate flows, with a working knowledge of available connectors and a proficiency in using Power Automates expression language to refine and customize flows. - Strong communication/presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences - Ability to design and deliver solutions independently and work collaboratively as part of a team - Ability to serve as technical lead for a team of data analytic and automation developers and facilitate client-facing meetings - Strong consulting skills: identifying and addressing client needs, building relationships, and driving initiatives forward What Would Be Nice to Have: - Masters degree in a highly quantitative and computational discipline (data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, etc.) - Knowledge of or experience with cloud solutions for data science and automation, such as Azure or AWS - Experience supporting the Federal National Security sector - Experience with Dynamics 365 applications (e.g., Customer Service, Sales, or custom Dynamics solutions) - Power Platform or Dynamics certifications (e.g., PL-200, PL-400, MB-910) The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$216,000.00.
