Responsibilities - The Content Researcher works closely with a multidisciplinary team that may include Research Directors, Product Managers, Project Managers, Field Research Coordinators, Psychometricians, Data Analysts, and Digital Developers. - This role supports all phases of assessment development for both print and digital formats. - Responsibilities vary by project and may include: - Partnering with cross-functional project teams to ensure print and digital components and deliverables are completed on time and aligned with publication schedules. - Supporting the development, refinement, maintenance, and quality control of products. - Collaborating with the Research Director and other team members to write new test items, pilot new materials, and develop product specifications. - Working with cross-functional teams to support the development and delivery of digital products and services. - Drafting, editing, and finalizing test materials, including digital interfaces, record forms, stimulus books, and manuals. - Developing item art specifications and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure visual and auditory stimuli meet print and digital requirements, usability standards, and global content standards. - Maintaining flexibility in work hours, as needed, to support meetings with international colleagues, approximately 10% of the time. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or educational field from a nationally recognized institution of higher education; Master's degree preferred. - Subject matter expertise in a clinical, educational, or technology-focused environment. - Background in research methods and statistics preferred. - Experience administering and interpreting clinical assessments preferred. Parent Talk is Action for Children’s digital parenting support service. The service is shaped closely with frontline practitioners and parent coaches, and content is continuously tested and improved using insight, feedback and real parent needs. Content design at Action for Children is about designing content that genuinely works for people. You’ll shape whole content journeys, set standards, influence ways of working and help teams across the charity produce content that meets user needs and organisational goals. The subject matter covered by Parent Talk can be complex, personal and sensitive. You’ll regularly pair‑write with parent coaches and so this role requires listening, care, judgement and professionalism when shaping content together.
