Title: Software Engineer 3 - Contingent Location: Columbus, Ohio (Hybrid) Job Description: Duration: Contract Job ID: 175827 Only W2 Job Overview: In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. You will contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables, review and analyze moderately complex challenges, and collaborate with client personnel to meet deliverables. This role requires a solid understanding of function policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Responsibilities: - Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. - Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors. - Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, analysts, testers, and operations throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Analyze user and business requirements and translate them into technical design specifications. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and production incidents in a timely manner. - Support core team members in transitioning manual processes to automated processes as part of a larger transformation project. Qualifications: - 4 years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. - Hands-on experience with CA7 scheduler job automation. - Extensive hands-on experience with Hogan mainframe systems (Hogan CIS, Hogan Umbrella, Hogan Deposits). - Experience creating JCLs, COBOL, REXX, and SORT utilities. - Experience with DB2IMS. - Strong debugging skills and ability to work independently. - SQL skills. - IT Project Management experience or skills (nice to have).
