Education Graduate (Technology) About the role: • As a Software Engineer (Backend), you will drive the design and development of backend systems that support the Tax Information Reporting Suite (TIRS) and Core Services. What you bring: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. • 5 – 6 years of hands‑on experience in core Python and Perl development. • At least 3 years of experience working with relational databases such as Sybase, Oracle, or MS SQL. • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, with the ability to debug and optimize complex stored procedures and SQL queries. • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments. • Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts. • Ability to apply appropriate design patterns during solution design and implementation. • Solid experience with version control tools such as Subversion or Git. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure) is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • A good team player with strong collaboration skills. • Self‑motivated and eager to learn new technologies.
