Are you? We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior IT Support engineer based in Athens to join our fast-growing IT team in a company that revolutionizes the way that credit risk is managed. As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you will support day-to-day IT operations and help ensure a smooth experience for EXUS employees. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow technical skills, and gain hands-on experience across IT systems and tools. You will work under the guidance of senior team members and gradually build your expertise. Responsibilities: - Provide first-line technical support to end users for common hardware, software, and access issues. - Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate more complex issues to senior engineers. - Assist with user account setup and maintenance (onboarding, offboarding, password resets, access requests). - Support daily IT operations, ensuring systems and services are running smoothly. - Help track and manage support requests using the Jira ticketing system, following team processes and SLAs. - Assist in setting up laptops and workstations for new employees. - Support basic administration tasks in Microsoft 365 (e.g. email, Teams, SharePoint). - Gain exposure to IT infrastructure, including: - Windows Server environments - Virtualization (e.g. Hyper-V) - Networking and firewall concepts - Microsoft Suite (Azure , Entra , Admin , Teams etc.) - Assist with routine checks, updates, and documentation of IT systems. - Learn and support backup processes and monitoring under supervision. - Collaborate with team members and occasionally with external vendors.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or final-year student).
- 0–2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role (internships count).
- Basic understanding of:
- Windows operating systems
- Microsoft 365 environment
- Networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills across systems, cloud, and security.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to follow processes and document work clearly.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Nice To Have:
- Exposure to Active Directory or user management concepts.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).
- Awareness of IT security best practices.
- Any relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.).
- Ability to work occasionally from our Athens (Petralona) office when required.**
