Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience specifically in commercial real estate and title insurance underwriting
  • Strong knowledge of title insurance products and the underwriting process
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with industry standards and legal regulations surrounding title insurance
  • Proficient in relevant software and Microsoft Office applications.

Role Description The Information Governance Assistant role is a fast-paced and evolving position that requires motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development. The Information Governance Assistant will work both independently and under supervision, demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to developing new skills. This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK. As our Information Governance Assistant, you will: - Provide operational support to the Information Governance (IG) Team in the day-to-day administration and delivery of data protection and information governance activities across the organisation. - Assist in the management of information rights requests, including Subject Access Requests (SARs), as well as supporting data protection compliance activities, records management processes, training administration, and governance reporting. Key Responsibilities - Information Rights Records Support - Provide administrative support for Subject Access Requests (SARs) and other information rights requests, including logging, acknowledgement, tracking deadlines and document collation. - Assist with basic redaction of records in line with guidance and templates. - Maintain accurate information rights logs and trackers. - Support retention and records management activities in line with organisational policy. - Data Protection and IG Administration - Maintain IG registers, including: - Data breaches/incidents - DPIAs and risk registers - Data processing agreements and supplier records - Assist with the coordination and follow‑up of data incidents, including evidence collation and action tracking. - Support preparation of routine IG reports, dashboards, and metrics. - Assist in evidence gathering for DSPT and internal/external assurance activities. - Training and Awareness - Support administration of IG and data protection training, including: - Training records - Compliance tracking - Follow‑up communications. - Assist with maintaining IG content on SharePoint or internal systems. - Governance and Team Support - Provide general administrative support to the IG Team, including meeting coordination and minute‑taking where required. - Respond to routine queries from staff using approved guidance and escalation routes. - Escalate complex, high‑risk or unusual matters promptly to senior IG colleagues.
