Working across Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Platform teams, you'll influence how we approach distributed systems at scale and elevate technical standards across the organization. What You'll Do - Define and evolve architectural solutions that improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. - Design and refine frameworks, tooling, and engineering standards that enhance system resilience and long-term maintainability. - Partner closely with Product, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to embed sound architectural principles into planning, design, and delivery. - Contribute hands-on to critical initiatives, including prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and production systems that demonstrate scalable, maintainable design. - Guide teams in adopting robust distributed system patterns, ensuring fault tolerance, observability, and operational maturity are built in from day one. - Provide thoughtful design reviews and technical guidance that raise the bar for engineering quality and consistency. - Collaborate with engineering leaders to align architectural decisions with business priorities and long-term platform strategy. What You'll Bring - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. - At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems in production environments. - Proven experience owning architectural components of high-availability, mission-critical platforms. - Strong expertise in scalable design patterns, performance optimization, reliability engineering, and modern cloud-based architectures. - Proficiency with modern development practices, including continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure as code, and observability tooling. - Experience collaborating across teams to deliver cross-functional technical initiatives that improve system stability, scalability, or efficiency. - Clear, structured communication skills with the ability to document architectural decisions and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - A passion for mentoring engineers, providing actionable design feedback, and continuously improving engineering standards. Join Our Team We're a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. As a regulated gaming company, you may be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 185,400.00 USD - 231,800.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. We are seeking this role to support multiple Enterprise Purview Information Protection projects, including significant deployments for organizations in the energy, finance and health care sectors. This role involves deploying M365 and Purview Information Protection solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expertise in data governance. F12 works with clients of all sizes, from mid-sized businesses to major public sector organizations. In these environments, you will be working across a wide array of projects, including (but not limited to) M365/Purview technical roadmap development, Information Protection solution design and implementation (Purview, SharePoint for example), and compliance initiatives focused on information protection and security hardening projects. Delivery across multiple streams often happens concurrently, with many technical dependencies to be considered. You will be supported through project delivery by a full project team, including other Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Project Managers, and Adoption Change Management specialists. Your performance will be measured through the successful implementation and deployment of Purview Information Protection projects. Required Skills and Experience: - 5+ years of relevant Microsoft cloud project delivery across multiple complex customer environments (experience implementing comparable Information Protection products will be considered). - Extensive experience in deploying M365 solutions in Enterprise-level organizations. - Extensive experience in deploying Purview Information Protection solutions in Enterprise-level organizations, with hands-on experience implementing: - Identity configuration, including hybrid identity, conditional access policies, and role-based access control. - Sensitivity labels, label policies, and auto-labelling. - Custom sensitive information types utilizing regular expressions, keyword lists, keyword dictionaries, and document fingerprinting. - Data loss prevention (DLP) policies. - Insider risk management (IRM) policies. - Endpoint protection. - Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards. - Proficiency in data governance and privacy policies. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication, discovery, and documentation skills.
