Job Description Roles and Responsibilities within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects Broadening knowledge of own sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups to execute policy/strategy. Still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require commercial knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others. Required Qualifications This role requires basic experience in the Sales & Sales. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience). The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting the sales objectives for Fiber Glass System business unit within NOV in the Rockies/PNW US region and customers in the Chemical & Industrial market. This role leads sales activity in the region with independent area sales managers, representatives & distributors, developing project specific sales strategies and communicating project requirements to the company’s manufacturing operations, construction divisions and management team. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead and achieve Fiber Glass Systems sales and business development objectives for fiberglass piping and tank solutions in the assigned region. - Target new customers, new applications and follow on sales leads. - Assists in establishing a realistic sales quota for the assigned region/Customer; generates and maintains sales volume to meet or exceed established quota; prepares sales forecasts. - Drive disciplined sales execution, including activity tracking, pipeline management, and CRM utilization to deliver regular reporting on sales performance, opportunities, and market conditions. - Initiate regional sales calls and training seminars with area distributors and representatives - Instruct distributors, contractors and customers concerning product applications - Communicate & coordinate with management, peers and Sales Director with regard to cross-region project sales activity requirements. - Visit customer facilities and/or jobsites to monitor project progress and customer satisfaction. - Remain current in knowledge of competitive activities including product lines, pricing, services, market penetration. - Participate in trade shows, customer events within FGS and NOV EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS - 5-10+ years of relevant technical sales experience, preferably in piping systems, tanks, composites, or related products - Experience managing independent representatives and distributors. - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred. JOB REQUIREMENTS - Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and have excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. - Previous customer-facing experience. - Candidate must be able to work independently in a home-based office. - Significant domestic travel is required.
