Medical Science Liaison, Northeast
Averitas Pharma
• Serve as the medical and scientific expert for Averitas products, and relevant disease states • Engage in peer-to-peer scientific exchange with KEEs and other healthcare stakeholders to advance disease state understanding and appropriate product utilization • Deliver accurate, balanced, and compliant medical information in response to unsolicited requests • Gather, and communicate medical insights and emerging trends from the field to internal stakeholders to help inform medical and business strategy • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Trainings and other internal partners while maintaining appropriate compliance boundaries • Represent Averitas with the highest standards of scientific integrity, medical ethics, and patient focus • Identify opportunities for scientific collaboration aligned with company medical objectives • Deliver scientific education and training programs for internal and external audiences • Support and facilitate scientific meetings, congress activities, and educational initiatives • Provide competitive intelligence and insights related to the therapeutic landscape, scientific data, and evolving standards of care • Maintain awareness of relevant clinical guidelines, publications, and scientific advancements • Contribute to knowledge generation, scientific storytelling, and dissemination of medical information to support organizational goals • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture aligned with Averitas values and behaviors • Demonstrate adaptability, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset in a dynamic environment • Act as a role model for teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning
Job Requirements
- PharmD, PHD or MD
- 2-4 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an MSL preferably in Specialty disease fields
- Prior pain product experience and/or medical device, specialty pharmaceutical, or biologic product launch preferred
- Experience with introducing new specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products or indications
- Experience of working in a start-up environment, with a strong sense of urgency and agility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the business with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Demonstrable understanding of industry trends and market insights including the various unique needs of various healthcare stakeholders such as KEEs (Key External Experts) and payers
