General Description: The Senior Director, ERP Platform & Technology Operations is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, governance, and strategic oversight across enterprise technology platforms, with a primary focus on SAP Operations, SAP Platform Architecture, and Development. This role ensures seamless system performance, scalability, and adoption while aligning technology with business objectives to drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation. Essential Functions of the job: ERP COE - Lead the ERP COE to identify and build standards, policies and processes for exceptional management of the platform. - Lead the ERP Development Team through creation of ABAP playbooks and transformation initiatives to adhere to clean core principles. - Lead the ERP Security Strategy to optimize SOX/SOD compliance through robust rule sets, Firefighter roles and project specific roles. - Provide leadership to the platform strategy to optimize the capabilities available to business functions and long-term plans for SAP S/4 HANA PCE/RISE migrations. - Lead the ERP Community of Practice bringing together ERP Solution Managers to cohesively work on solutions leveraging the platform to include roadmaps, standards and controls. - Build organizational and technical strategies to optimize the platform using solutions such as; Joule, BDC, BTP and SAP Databrics. - Analyze the solutions related to core business processes to identify opportunities to increase ERP value for the company by reducing redundant solutions. - Manage requests for ERP Platform engagement and support through requirements gathering, sizing, resource planning, and execution. ERP Operations & Architecture - Drive the ERP Platform Architecture Strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT best practices. - Oversee system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and security protocols. - Partner with business and IT stakeholders to optimize SAP functionality, improve user experience, and enhance business performance. - Manage relationships with SAP vendors, consultants, and service providers to drive value and efficiency. - Ensure adherence and response to Audit requests on Platform security and operations. Technology Operations & Governance - Define and enforce SAP governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence. - Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure technology performance and service delivery. - Drive IT service management (ITSM) initiatives, ensuring adherence to SLA commitments. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Lead and mentor a team of SAP and IT operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with Finance, Commercial Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other business units to align IT strategies with corporate objectives. - Stay ahead of emerging technologies, SAP advancements, and industry trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Required Qualifications: - Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in IT operations, SAP architecture, or enterprise technology management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. - Deep expertise in SAP ERP (S/4HANA), ABAP Development, ERP Security and cloud integrations. - Deep expertise in business solution design, understand SAP functional capabilities and business requirement in a specific area (e.g. Supply chain, finance etc). - Proven experience building and implementing ERP Strategies from business case to ROI. - Experience with designing, or managing a GxP application compliance, understands CSV principles and controls on SAP ERP applications , GMP and other GxP control imposed on SAP ERP solutions. - Experience with designing a global integration strategy for an ERP centric architecture. - Experience with designing enterprise data warehousing. - Expertise with clean core principles and implementation. - Strong background in IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks. - Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. - Experience working in a large-scale, global enterprise environment. Other Qualifications: - Fluency in Chinese is a plus but not mandatory. - SAP BTP experience is a plus but not mandatory.
