Role Description As a Sales Representative, you will represent our brand by introducing new products and building strategic customer relationships. This role manages key product categories such as bacon, ham, and fresh pork, while working cross-functionally with Business Management, Marketing, and Plant Operations to ensure strong execution in the marketplace. You will gain experience in broker management, customer engagement, trade execution, and demand planning. Expect to visit manufacturing facilities to strengthen product knowledge, manage trade spend, and support accurate forecasting. What You'll Do - Sales Administration & Workflow Coordination: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the sales team by coordinating daily work, managing documentation, and ensuring timely communication with customers to keep sales operations running smoothly. - Customer Relationship Development: Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing customers by providing consistent support, understanding their evolving needs, and delivering tailored solutions that drive satisfaction and loyalty. - Retail Execution & Merchandising: Maintain clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing product displays across all store locations; ensure samples are replenished and merchandising standards are upheld to enhance the customer shopping experience and support brand visibility. - Sales Reporting & Promotional Tracking: Collaborate with Account Managers to track and analyze daily and weekly sales performance; update teams on promotional effectiveness to inform future planning and execution. - Account Management & Issue Resolution: Support the development and growth of sales accounts by managing key metrics, resolving customer complaints promptly, and ensuring that all store-level initiatives are implemented effectively to meet or exceed sales objectives. - Territory Coverage & Product Demonstration: Travel throughout the assigned territory to engage with current and prospective customers, present product offerings using samples or catalogs, and highlight key features that align with customer needs and drive purchasing decisions. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Company will consider a currently enrolled college student with an anticipated graduation by end of current school year as qualified. - Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear presentations and build effective working relationships across teams and with customers. - Ability to manage sales accounts, resolve customer issues, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment while meeting or exceeding performance metrics. - A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; local travel up to 80% of the time is expected, with occasional overnight stays based on business needs. Requirements - Experience using sales-related software tools for reporting, planning, and communication, preferred. Physical Demands & Work Environment - Capable of sitting for extended periods of time. - Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbs to 50 lbs. - Frequently required to sit; stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. - Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. - Able to travel as needed. Compensation The expected pay range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually. Smithfield Foods provides pay ranges that reflect its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the company reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of hire. Individual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, location of the position, the candidate’s qualifications and experience, internal equity, external market pay for comparable positions, and budget considerations. Requirements - Existing customer contacts with large National chain accounts. - Understanding of product cuttings including knowledge of product attributes. - Knowledge and experience with SAP. • Design and develop preliminary designs and specifications for engineering and materials, preparing project cost estimates. • Conduct research, feasibility studies, and economic studies to ensure designs are viable and cost-effective. • Review and check engineering projects for accuracy and soundness; manage project execution. • Coordinate project schedules with plant personnel, vendors, and contractors. • Provide direction to equipment vendors to plan layouts and maintain installation schedules. • Conduct engineering planning and operational reviews during pre-project studies. • Review bid packages for compliance, prepare project documents, and monitor installations for budget adherence. • Drive positive employee experience through leadership and coaching.

• Increase Distribution of Product Lines • Manages Smithfield’s Broker relationships to increase distribution of product lines. • Trains and monitors the sales activities of Broker representatives to ensure consistency in selling products. • Plans for regional sales and assists with sales proposal developments, sales presentations and sales calls. • Provides sales training to Brokers on new and existing products for sales presentations. • Directs broker team thru meeting attendance and works within market to drive company initiatives in store. • Maintain and Increase Sales • Meets directly with customers and key decision makers to maintain and increase sales of Smithfield products. • Develops and makes formal presentations and/or proposals. • Determines and drives execution of key programs based on regions’ needs and requirements (sales incentives, account specific marketing programs, etc.). • Implement Sales Plans • Implements and executes Smithfield sales plans to promote product lines. • Customizes plans to meet the local and regional marketing cultures. • Maintains coordination with integral company functions to ensure sales objectives are met.

• Assist facility EHS teams to maintain a safe working environment and ensure the uniform application of environmental, health, and safety programs. • Ensure effective implementation of corporate programs and act as a resource to review and revise SOPs, control plans, and Smithfield established programs and policies. • Assist facilities in conducting water, energy, waste and food loss and waste management reviews, develop project scope documentation, project management and project completion documentation, and report submissions. • Ensure safety compliance with federal regulations and corporate requirements such as Smithfield’s Injury Prevention System (SIPS), PSM, and the EMS as well as ensuring all required permits are submitted in a timely manner. • Report any incidents to the EHS Operations Director including regulatory visits and inquiries, fire, significant damage to property, chemical spills and releases, EMS visits, and threats. • Lead corporate audit teams assisting in the evaluation of risk and implementation of related programs to workers safety and environmental stewardship through site audits and evaluations. • Ensure facilities are prepared for internal and external audits and assist with closing out open audit findings. • Assist with managing claim costs and participate in case management reviews. • Assure all required training is implemented and up to date and will participate in corporate training as appropriate. • Drive a positive employee experience through leadership by way of employee development and coaching.
