PRIMARY PURPOSECosting Analyst, collects and analyzes global costing data in support of cost standardization, Cost validation, total cost optimization, vendor negotiation and supply policy improvement. They are the champion for all costing related systems and drive process and systems improvement to achieve increased organizational efficiency. II. KEY RESPONSIBILITY 1. Product Costing & Analysis - Assess the finished‑goods costing across seasonal milestones (e.g., DP1, DP2, MARKET, Production). - Analyze BOM, process cost, material prices, yields, labor, overhead, and logistics assumptions to ensure cost accuracy. - Assess the bottom cost and bottom mold cost fully comply with Tapestry’s standard cost. - Conduct cost variance and sensitivity analyses to identify drivers and propose cost optimization actions. - Maintain costing databases, standard assumptions, and cost models to ensure consistency and audit readiness. 2. Factory Collaboration - Work directly with the service providers (shoe factories) costing teams to gather cost breakdowns, clarify assumptions, and resolve discrepancies in the manner of time. - Validate yield, tooling assumptions with material team, tooling team, and technical teams. - Support should‑cost analysis and challenge quotes using data‑driven benchmarks. - Ensure all service providers (shoe factories) fully comply with Tapestry’s costing guidelines by providing clear instructions, monitoring adherence, and driving respectful, consistent alignment throughout the costing process. 3. Cross‑Functional Partnership - Present costing insights to the internal partner, Headquarter Product Development. - Support margin analysis by scenario modeling and identifying material, construction, and efficiency opportunities. - Communicate costing risks, impacts, and recommendations clearly and proactively. 4. Process & Calendar Management - Ensure all costing submissions meet seasonal calendar deadlines. - Track costing updates, approvals, and change history across development rounds. - Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance costing accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
