Role Description We are seeking an EDI Integration Specialist to take full ownership of the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our EDI environment. This role is responsible for onboarding trading partners, managing integrations, and ensuring accurate, automated data flow between systems. This is a systems and integration-focused role, not a transactional/order processing position. The EDI Integration Specialist will build, optimize, and maintain EDI infrastructure while working independently with strategic oversight from the Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities - Own and lead end-to-end EDI onboarding, implementation, and maintenance - Serve as the primary point of contact for trading partners and VAN providers - Coordinate and execute EDI testing workflows between internal systems, TrueCommerce, and trading partner VANs - Collaborate with third-party EDI providers (e.g., SPS Commerce, OpenText) as required by trading partners to facilitate data flow into TrueCommerce - Perform and validate EDI transaction testing, including: - 850 (Purchase Order) - 855 (PO Acknowledgement) - 856 (Advance Ship Notice - ASN) - 846 (Inventory Advice) - 810 (Invoice) - 997 (Functional Acknowledgement) - Ensure ERP-to-VAN integration is fully functional by validating mapping and automation workflows so documents flow seamlessly from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to TrueCommerce to Trading Partner VAN - Configure and maintain pack/ship labels within TrueCommerce according to trading partner requirements, including SSCC / UCC-128 standards - Assist with setup and configuration of multiple packing slip formats within TrueCommerce - Develop and maintain automation processes to export packing slips and related documents into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - Utilize TrueCommerce Mapping Manager to manage and update EDI mappings in-house, reducing reliance on external VAN support - Troubleshoot and resolve EDI, mapping, and data flow issues across systems - Collaborate with TrueCommerce integration specialists to implement and optimize solutions - Monitor ongoing EDI performance and proactively resolve discrepancies - Maintain detailed documentation of mappings, workflows, and partner-specific requirements Scope Clarification - This role focuses on EDI system implementation, integration, automation, and maintenance - This role does not handle day-to-day order processing or transactional fulfillment - Success is measured by accuracy, automation, scalability, and reliability of EDI data flows Preferred Skills - Experience configuring SSCC / UCC-128 labeling - Familiarity working with SPS Commerce and OpenText environments (via trading partner integrations) - Background in retail, wholesale, or supply chain operations - Technical aptitude with data structures, file formats, and system integrations Work Environment - Independent, ownership-driven role with oversight from Operations leadership - High collaboration with external EDI providers and trading partners - Fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent onboarding and integration initiatives Benefits - Competitive salary $5-8 based on your experience - Opportunities for growth within a dynamic and collaborative team
