Managing Director – Organizational Engagement

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for organizational engagement efforts, ensuring alignment across AccessLex Institute and Helix Bar Review. • Partner closely with senior leadership to translate organizational priorities and strategic plans into coordinated, high-impact initiatives. • Serve as a central point of alignment across teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and momentum. • Provide overall leadership for the strategy, planning, and execution of all Company convenings and events, including internal, partner-facing, and industry gatherings. • Ensure all events are purpose-driven, operationally sound, and reflective of the Companys standards for quality, professionalism, and impact. • Oversee long-term convenings planning to support evolving organizational priorities and strategic initiatives. • Lead the strategy and execution of sponsorships, partnerships, and advisory committees that advance organizational goals and strengthen stakeholder relationships. • Ensure committee structures, materials, communications, and experience are well-designed, thoughtfully prepared, and aligned with leadership expectations. • Cultivate trusted relationships with external partners, institutions, and advisors through intentional, high-quality engagement. • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for convenings, partnerships, sponsorships, and Committees. • Develop and implement new processes that advance the departments goals and improve effectiveness for all stakeholders. • Provide guidance, structure, and accountability to ensure work across teams is prioritized effectively and executed with precision. • Foster a culture of collaboration, attention to detail, and continuous improvement within the Organizational Engagement team. • Partner with teams across the organizationincluding Marketing, Programs, Finance, Operations, and Leadershipto ensure seamless execution of shared initiatives. • Establish clear processes, timelines, and communication pathways to support cross-functional work. • Ensure deliverables are consistent, detailed, and aligned across departments, presenting a unified organizational voice and experience. • Oversee planning processes, timelines, and workflows to ensure projects move forward efficiently and transparently. • Evaluate outcomes from convenings, sponsorships, partnerships, and committee work to identify opportunities for refinement and improvement, and measure ROI. • Maintain a high standard of execution, ensuring all work reflects the Companys commitment to excellence and impact. • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Company objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) or similar credential.
  • Deep experience with organizational engagement strategies, including convenings, events, partnerships, sponsorships, and advisory committees.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to translate priorities into coordinated, cross-departmental execution.
  • Proven leadership and people-management skills, including influencing across functions and leading in matrixed environments.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a high level of attention to detail across complex initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals.
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Hospitality, Project Management, Conference Management, or another similar related field.
  • 15 years of progressively responsible, relevant professional experience (full-time).
