The Role We are seeking a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of our accounting function (remote). This is not a support role. You will be the sole accounting resource for the company, responsible for maintaining clean, accurate books and ensuring the financial foundation of the business is strong, organized, and reliable. You will work directly with the founders and have full visibility into the financial operations of a global luxury brand. What You Will Own You will be responsible for managing the entire accounting function, including: Core Accounting - Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks Online - Record all financial transactions accurately and on time - Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations - Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and vendor payments - Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing and collections Monthly Close & Reporting - Own and execute the monthly close process - Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) - Deliver a clean monthly reporting package to leadership - Identify and explain key financial trends and variances Payroll & Compliance - Manage payroll through QuickBooks Online / Gusto - Ensure payroll taxes and filings are completed accurately and on time - Support onboarding/offboarding from an HR and payroll perspective Inventory & Cost Accounting (Important) - Maintain accurate inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) - Track cost of goods sold (COGS) and gross margins - Ensure proper flow of costs through inventory to financial statements Systems & Process Ownership - Establish and maintain clean, scalable accounting processes - Improve workflows and introduce automation where appropriate - Coordinate with external CPA for year-end tax filings What We’re Looking For This role requires someone who can operate independently and take full ownership. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $50,000 - $58,000.
