Title: Child Care Resource & Referral (Ccrr) Specialist Location: Fully Remote Jacksonville Full-time Description Position Title: CHILD CARE RESOURCE & REFERRAL (CCRR) SPECIALIST Classification: Non-Exempt Location: Work From Home Office Must live in Duval county or surrounding areas.Bilingual (Spanish) applicants preferred but not required GENERAL DESCRIPTION This position will be responsible for: · providing customer service, resources, and information · performing a needs assessment of family clients · contributing to and assisting with the CCR&R database and Community Resource Guide · following the School Readiness and VPK eligibility process ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The CCR&R Specialist provides parents and providers with information, materials, and related assistance on School Readiness (SR) and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) services according to funding guidelines. Such duties as offering CCR&R services including child care listings, consumer education, and information regarding community resources to each family applying for or requesting CCR&R, School Readiness, or Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program services, without regard to age, level of income, or individual circumstances. This person must be able to function as a team member and work on multiple projects at the same time. The position requires excellent customer service, organization skills, and advanced computer literacy in a Windows environment. SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES: - Incoming phone calls - Actively engages parents in responding to all their needs by including more referral services to our partner community resource agencies - Routinely shares resources, websites, information, etc. in a collegial way with other members of the team - Determines eligibility for SR and VPK services according to funding and state guidelines - Ensures that all case action is documented in the database - Attends and represents ELC Duval and CCR&R network at visibilities and events as needed - Must be reliable, able to be at work consistently with regular attendance and punctuality, and be willing and able to handle all the duties and responsibilities of the position daily - Committed to empowering themselves and others to solve problems - Responds appropriately and effectively to the diversity of co-workers, customers, and stakeholders - Other duties as assigned by Manager KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 1. Strong attention to detail and organization 2. Excellent customer service skills 3. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional manner 4. Excellent oral and written communication skills 5. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and families and childcare providers 6. Requirements - Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent and young adult mental health and substance use issues, psychiatric diagnosis, and related evidence-based best treatment practices. - Knowledge of community response procedures, general counselling principles, and intervention techniques. - Knowledge of Systems Theory and ability to incorporate this into mental health assessments and interventions. - Knowledge of relevant Acts such as Mental Health Act, Adult Guardianship Act, Health Care Consent Act, Freedom of Information Act, and Child, Family and Community Service Act. - Ability to conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments using standardized frameworks and tools. - Skill in crisis intervention with adolescents and families, and therapeutic skills in individual, group, and family interventions. - Ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with youth and families. - Effective communication skills in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of an interprofessional team. - Proficiency in personal computers and related software applications.
