• Develop and execute sourcing and commodity management strategies that achieve quality, delivery, cost, and inventory targets within respective business units, with a focus on total cost of ownership savings. • Analyze current market conditions, geo-political environments, and incorporate into commodity strategies to effectively mitigate supply chain risk. • Negotiate agreements with suppliers of assigned supply base, ensuring that the best total network cost. • Develop cost models and have clear understanding of cost drivers in each commodity and uses industry and commodity indexes to find cost savings funnel opportunities. • Utilize 80/20 mindset to establish savings strategies and identify opportunities to reduce product and supply base complexity. • Lead cross-functional project teams to implement re-sourcing initiatives and spend reductions. • Manage Global supply base and incorporate supply chain management tools to continually improve supplier performance and drive internal efforts to resolve supplier issues. • Evaluate new suppliers to minimum qualification requirements and create supplier development roadmaps to enhance performance. • Assist in the creation and continuous process improvement of the Sourcing Playbook, employing the methodology throughout the business. • All other duties assigned by Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited 4-year university required, with a BS in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related field.
  • Prior sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • MBA or other master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years purchasing and sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Supplier negotiation experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills using Excel and other tools.
  • APICS or CPM certificate preferred.
  • Experience using an MRP system, Syteline preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

This is an operations-focused role requiring a background in logistics and inventory management. You’ll be comfortable splitting time between the floor and the system: receiving parts, reconciling inventory, staging materials, and closing work orders in NetSuite. You’ll be part of the backbone of our operations, helping drive accuracy, throughput, and accountability as we scale. What you’ll do: Receiving & Material Handling - Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts and materials; verify quantities and documentation against POs. - Work with the Purchasing and Inventory team in the US to resolve discrepancies or nonconforming material. - Ensure timely movement of materials from receiving to storage or production areas. - Maintain accurate receiving transactions in NetSuite (or ERP) and ensure traceability of serial or lot-controlled items. Assembly - Assemble Sub assembly components according to detailed engineering specifications and assembly instructions. - Use hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components, optical components, and electronic parts. - Ensure that all components are correctly aligned and securely fastened. Inventory Control - Manage daily inventory accuracy through cycle counts, bin audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies. - Support setup and organization of warehouse locations, labeling, and storage optimization. - Monitor min/max and safety stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory. - Support root-cause analysis on inventory variances and implement corrective actions. Production Control / Work Order Management - Release, track, and close production work orders in NetSuite to ensure accurate material consumption and build completion. - Coordinate with Manufacturing and Planning to ensure materials are staged and ready for each build. - Review open work orders weekly to confirm completion status and clear aging WOs. - Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by managing disposition of affected inventory. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering teams to maintain material flow and system accuracy. - Communicate material shortages, late deliveries, and work order delays proactively. - Provide data and support for MRP and demand planning reviews.
