YouTube | X | Instagram | LinkedIn | News As a detail-oriented Inventory & Production Technician at Carbon Robotics you’ll own the flow of materials – ensuring that parts are received accurately, inventory is well organized and traceable, and work orders are closed in a timely manner to support smooth production flow and accurate material planning. This is an operations-focused role requiring a background in logistics and inventory management. You’ll be comfortable splitting time between the floor and the system: receiving parts, reconciling inventory, staging materials, and closing work orders in NetSuite. You’ll be part of the backbone of our operations, helping drive accuracy, throughput, and accountability as we scale. What you’ll do: Receiving & Material Handling - Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts and materials; verify quantities and documentation against POs. - Work with the Purchasing and Inventory team in the US to resolve discrepancies or nonconforming material. - Ensure timely movement of materials from receiving to storage or production areas. - Maintain accurate receiving transactions in NetSuite (or ERP) and ensure traceability of serial or lot-controlled items. Assembly - Assemble Sub assembly components according to detailed engineering specifications and assembly instructions. - Use hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components, optical components, and electronic parts. - Ensure that all components are correctly aligned and securely fastened. Inventory Control - Manage daily inventory accuracy through cycle counts, bin audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies. - Support setup and organization of warehouse locations, labeling, and storage optimization. - Monitor min/max and safety stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory. - Support root-cause analysis on inventory variances and implement corrective actions. Production Control / Work Order Management - Release, track, and close production work orders in NetSuite to ensure accurate material consumption and build completion. - Coordinate with Manufacturing and Planning to ensure materials are staged and ready for each build. - Review open work orders weekly to confirm completion status and clear aging WOs. - Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by managing disposition of affected inventory. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering teams to maintain material flow and system accuracy. - Communicate material shortages, late deliveries, and work order delays proactively. - Provide data and support for MRP and demand planning reviews. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success: - 3+ years in receiving, inventory, or production control within a manufacturing environment. - Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). - Strong understanding of BOMs, work orders, and inventory transactions. - Highly organized, reliable, and proactive. - Strong ownership mindset — takes accountability for accuracy and follow-through. - Comfortable balancing hands-on warehouse work with system and process ownership. - Collaborative team player with strong communication across functions. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, scaling environment. - Forklift certification and experience a plus. This includes supervising timelines to award contracts, base lining procurement schedules to meet overall project progress, and planning procurement activities to align with the overall construction schedule. - Handle the procurement budget, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial targets. - Be responsible for the project procurement execution process, tailoring it by project and country based on local regulations. - Supervise the post-award supplier management process to ensure ongoing compliance and performance. - Lead process and efficiency improvement initiatives related to cost, quality, and cycle time, ensuring adherence to sourcing policies and best practices while achieving cost savings goals. - Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. - Participate in global and strategic initiatives and lead their implementation in India construction projects. - Prepare leadership reports and consolidate key updates on construction projects (engineering, procurement, construction, and other areas) by collaborating with various collaborators, including project management and program management teams, and report to senior leadership. - Build market intelligence in the construction category and provide feedback to business and procurement leadership. - Work closely with general contractors, category supplier manager, finance, project, and cost teams to improve cash flow projection accuracy and ensure timely reporting. - Collaborate with category supplier managers to drive cost reduction using Should Cost models and facilitate the implementation of innovative sourcing best practices. - Proactively identify project risk and work with accountable group for risk mitigation strategies, not limited to cost overrun, inflation, supplier related risks and schedule delays and geopolitical challenges. - Lead supplier optimization/consolidation and other global procurement initiatives. - Drive standardization and automation for efficiency improvements, including dashboard preparation for critical metric monitoring, report standardization, and maintaining standard templates for pre- and post-contract monitoring.
