Role Description The Market Development Engineer - Electrical and Electronics is responsible for driving new customers, targets and opportunities in targeted markets with translation to other accounts or adjacent markets. Drives material specification at OEM’s, tiers and molders. Develops working knowledge of market value chain. Provides technical knowledge (material selection, part & mold design) regarding performance and characteristics of Celanese products and offers technical support during and after the sales process. - Targets new customers in selected market space(s). - Generates opportunities for new business growth. - Manages internal new product development (NPD), testing, computer-aided engineering and external developments to drive projects to close. - Works with new customers to determine potential applications and best Celanese material solutions. - Works with Account Manager at existing customers to develop new applications and provide technical support as needed. - Provides technical support at existing customers as needed. - Manages Technical Exchanges at new and existing customers. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Technical Field. - 10 Years in plastics or related field. Technical and business or market development experience required. - Ability to work with customers to develop a tailored solution. - Develop deep customer and market knowledge. Draw connections to foresee future trends and develop opportunities to grow and innovate. - Ability to interact, influence and facilitate at several levels of the organization. - Must be willing to prospect for new customers/projects and develop strategies for identifying and targeting new customers and segment strategies. - Willingness to travel greater than 50%. • Oversees field installation of electrical systems, including MCCs, VFDs, motor wiring, instrumentation, grounding, lighting, and cable tray systems. • Manages field resolution of technical issues and participates in field fitting where design conflicts arise. • Responsible for reviewing and interpreting electrical single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, loop drawings, and equipment datasheets. • Leads the preparation and review of RFIs and field change requests. • Collaborates with instrumentation and automation specialists for integration and commissioning. • Participates in testing and pre-commissioning of electrical systems. • Oversees construction work and verifies that it complies with design intent and all applicable standards. • Monitors electrical QA/QC activities and assists with turnover documentation. • Contributes to the commissioning and startup of electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance. • Provides technical guidance to contractors and field personnel regarding electrical work. • Provides troubleshooting support for electrical system failures during construction and post-installation. • Conducts risk assessments and hazard identification related to electrical activities. • Manages the preparation and presentation of detailed technical reports, proposals, and documentation for stakeholders and the project team. • Participates in project meetings and contributes to planning, risk management, and safety assessments. • Capable of performing field work required through all seasons. • Performs other duties as assigned.

• Carry out on-site and remote assignments to support dealerships, authorized repairers and technical centers across Europe, reducing vehicle downtime and case backlogs. • Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents on customer vehicles, including advanced electrical/electronic and multiplexing issues. • Analyze malfunctions affecting individual vehicles as well as systemic issues impacting multiple vehicles; propose and implement containment and corrective actions. • Use manufacturer diagnostic tools (e.g. wiTECH POD, DiagBOX VCI) to perform guided diagnostics, software updates, reprogramming and configurations. • Interpret electrical diagrams, repair manuals and technical bulletins to identify root causes and define appropriate repair methods. • Produce clear technical reports, incident summaries and action plans; present and summarize analyses for engineering, quality and after‑sales teams. • Contribute to the Technical Assistance process (case management, escalations and closure), complying with KPIs and expected service levels. • Coordinate and support multidisciplinary teams at the point of repair; provide on-the-job training and knowledge transfer to technicians. • Capture recurring issues and lessons learned in knowledge bases and continuous improvement initiatives. • Ensure compliance with safety rules and exercise controlled cost decision-making throughout diagnostic and repair support activities. • Manage tools, equipment and logistics related to assignments; maintain rigorous tracking of cases, time spent and priorities.
