Credit Analyst

• Develop a strong understanding of internal and external data flows supporting business initiatives • Identify, access, and connect to data sources including data warehouses and third-party platforms • Evaluate existing tools, systems, and platforms used to support analytics and reporting • Analyze current business rules, logic, and system configurations to identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement • Map data movement across systems throughout the customer/account lifecycle • Execute data queries to validate accuracy, completeness, and integrity of datasets • Analyze performance metrics to measure success of initiatives and validate expected outcomes • Monitor portfolio health indicators including growth, profitability, and credit performance • Develop and maintain KPI reporting across key business areas such as marketing, underwriting, and account management • Build forecasting models to evaluate the financial impact of proposed solutions • Establish reporting cadence and define metric ownership across stakeholders • Create, execute, and validate recurring reports, ensuring alignment with business and system records • Perform ad hoc analysis to uncover trends, behaviors, and performance drivers • Develop presentation materials to communicate insights and recommendations to business stakeholders • Document reporting logic, data sources, and methodologies to ensure transparency and repeatability • Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary to standardize definitions and usage across teams

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in credit, lending, banking, financial analysis, or a highly analytical environment
  • Strong experience analyzing credit data, financial information, and risk metrics
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights through reports and presentations
  • Hands-on experience working with data repositories, including data extraction, validation, and reporting outputs
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with SQL and database/query tools for data extraction, validation, and reporting workflows
  • Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to support KPI tracking and stakeholder communication
  • Understanding of financial analysis, credit adjudication, and lending systems is preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

In This Role: - Conduct financial analysis to support business planning and decision making by presenting insights and recommendations to management. - Develop and manage standard costs for new and existing items. - Complete month-end close tasks, including monthly financial reports for the Executive Leadership Team and various Business Units. - Assist with procurement analysis and related projects including but not limited to spend analysis. - Partner with Logistics department to provide an in-depth financial analysis of actual spend on transportation costs. - Assist with Product and Customer P&Ls, assessing their profitability. - Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects. - Participate in preparing and compiling annual budgeting and multi-year planning processes for assigned categories of the P&L. - Utilize enterprise systems to consolidate data from various systems. - Perform ad-hoc financial and variance analysis upon request.
