Job Description
Product Manager (Crypto Core)
Bitso
Working At Bitso We are a diverse team that takes pride in understanding the perspectives of others. We fully embrace working remotely and we are eager to act, improve and accelerate progress inside and outside of our organization. To drive revolutionary changes in society and make crypto useful, we delight our customers with world-class products, deep care, and intentional empathy. Your Purpose Fleet: Money Movement Squad: Crypto Core As a PM in Crypto Core, you are the operator of one of the most financially consequential systems at Bitso. You will own the infrastructure that moves crypto assets reliably and safely across multiple custody providers and chains — BitGo, Fireblocks, Ripple, and Lightspark — serving millions of users across Latin America. You aren't managing a feature backlog. You are ensuring that a system with real financial stakes runs with precision every day — and evolves to scale with the business. At Bitso, how we operate matters as much as what we operate: - Customer Obsession: Guaranteeing that every crypto transaction is processed reliably, with the operational discipline that protects user trust at scale. - Freedom with Accountability: Making trade-off decisions independently — between reliability and velocity, between stability and evolution — with full ownership of the consequences. - Continuous Innovation: Leveraging AI and modern tooling to sharpen your own output and identify where the system can become smarter, faster, and more resilient. Reports To Group Product Manager, Money Movement Who You Are - Experienced PM: You have 4–6 years of experience in Product Management, with meaningful time in fintech, payments, or technical infrastructure. You have a proven track record of closing what you open — managing complexity without losing quality. - Technically Fluent: You don't code, but you are genuinely comfortable with async systems, APIs, external integrations, and failure modes. You ask "where does this break?" before asking "what should we build?" - Financially Aware: You understand what it means to work on systems where errors have real financial consequences. You treat reliability and integrity as design constraints, not operational afterthoughts. - Requirements Definer: You write specs that drive implementation without over- or under-specifying. You know how to translate operational pain — from engineering, ops, and compliance — into clear, actionable product decisions. - Outcome-Focused: You use data proactively to prioritize, not just to report. You connect your team's work to measurable outcomes and communicate trade-offs upward without being asked. - AI-Native: You actively use AI tools as part of how you work — drafting specs, synthesizing information, structuring analyses, preparing documentation. You apply judgment on top of AI output. You know when to trust it and when to push back on it. - Collaborative Partner: You thrive at the intersection of engineering, operations, and compliance. You earn the trust of strong technical teams by showing up prepared, communicating clearly, and following through. Nice to have: - Experience with crypto custody, wallet infrastructure, or multi-chain systems - Exposure to reconciliation, treasury, or ledger systems - Multi-region product experience in regulated environments - Familiarity with AI-assisted monitoring or anomaly detection concepts What You Will Do - Own day-to-day product execution for Crypto Core: priorities, specs, delivery, and quality across multi-chain transaction processing and wallet management. - Act as the primary link between engineering, operations, and compliance — translating complex operational needs into technical builds. - Manage and evolve operational relationships with custody and rail providers: BitGo, Fireblocks, Ripple, and Lightspark. - Coordinate cross-squad dependencies with Nexus (orchestration) and Gearbox (reconciliation), ensuring systemic integrity across Money Movement. - Identify reliability gaps and operational risks before they become incidents — and drive systematic resolution when they do. - Contribute to quarterly planning, making recommendations on high-priority initiatives that align with company strategy in your product area. - Use AI tools consistently to accelerate your own output and raise the quality bar on specs, analyses, and communications. What Good Looks Like (Year 1) - Crypto Core runs with the same operational reliability it has today — no regressions - Engineering has a PM they trust and want to build with - Incidents are detected earlier, resolved faster, and learned from systematically - You understand the system deeply enough to have a point of view on where it needs to evolve - You're presenting to leadership with clarity and confidence - Your use of AI is visible in the quality and speed of your output — not as a novelty, but as a consistent working practice Research in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion suggests that individuals may hesitate to apply for jobs if they do not meet all the listed criteria. At Bitso, we value diversity and your unique strengths could be just what we're looking for. If this role excites you but you don't match every point in the description, we still want to hear from you. #LI-Remote Who We Are With over 9 million users, Bitso is the leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America.
