Role Description The ICT Operations Branch within the Department of Industry, Science and Resources provides ICT support and underpinning infrastructure services to the department and the Ministers' Offices, ensuring all staff in the department and MOs have access to stable and secure technology. The ICT Networks & Infrastructure Platforms section falls within the ICT Operations Branch. The Infrastructure Platforms team is responsible for the management of all data centers, server hosts and virtualization, automation, storage, backup and restore capability. The team is also responsible for providing after hours on-call support for our infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior Storage Engineer who has experience working in large complex ICT environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Deploying, configuring, managing and tuning the department's storage systems at physical and virtual layers. - Deploying, configuring and managing Storage Area Network Switches as required. - Producing design documents, build documents, operations documents, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members. - Mentoring junior team members.
